It makes you a time-waster.

Look who's talking.

Are you then in direct communication with God?

Thanks for that. I'm beginning to get some perspective on your outlook.

Some physicists are trying to read the mind of God, Einstein already tried.

It is quite apparent that seriousness has very little to do with this discussion.

If anyone could know the Mind of God -which is impossible in any timeframe- they could draft church policies to perfectly reflect His will. That's the classic stumbling block, though. Human beings can create churches and church-policies on what they believe is God's will, but unless you are God Himself your understanding is obviously limited.

The modern church is a reflection of the modern man. Maybe it more reflects man than it does God. I don't know.

Such are the mysteries and challenges of the spiritual life.

In all seriousness, what you say it makes sense, and that is a problem I see with religion to be honest, how people can really know what God wants? is something interesting to see, and most would claim to know what God wants or expects basing it on following a specific religious dogma.

You do know where Israel is? Right next to Africa. Ethiopian eunuch and Phillip mean anything? There were Churches in Africa until they were annihilated around the 7th century.

I just tell it like I see it, and no longer will make a point by using ad hominems.

I do not believe in the God of theology who rewards good and punishes evil.

Perhaps Einstein did not consider God a judge.

Einstein was also pantheistic at that stage of his life.
