Ma just told me it's all over talk radio (and these are the ones Trump talks to) that Trump is doing things he shouldn't be doing and if he keeps it up, he won't be voted in again. They also said Ivanka was seen talking to Planned Parenthood which Trump said he wanted to defund. I'm not having warm fuzzies about this.

They are saying on Coast to Coast that Russia was notified that we were going to do this so Russia could retreat.

What in the hell is going on?! We got China man here and then we're notifying Russia about an attack we're doing on Syria during China man's visit. This is a freaking soap opera. Now Trump is schmoozing Mr. China man about getting Little Hitler in North Korea under control. So we're having a threesome between us, China and Russia? Wtf?! What a cluster.

Quite honestly I think this is a very bad situation. Those who are enemies with the friend of their friend has two enemies and no friends. One loose punch that hits Russia and they will use military force to retaliate.

The window to use military force against North Korea passed decades ago. They are now a nuclear power and have been planning for a US invasion for decades. They spend every waking moment preparing to go to war with us. I doubt they would actually start a war, and if they did, I would suspect we were fighting more than North Korea, but they would most certainly hit a major American city if we attacked them. I don't think that can be stated emphatically enough. North Korea will attack a major American city if we attack North Korea. They are probably ready to do so this very moment. I think it's best to continue dealing with them as we always have...by ignoring them.

I think it's time again for me to take another mental health break and put what zest I have left onto some important things...

To be perfectly honest, that's exactly the type of thing I'd expect to hear from Scientologists or whoever.

Have you watched the video I linked, because it show well how I have seen the Trump election even though it's a from 1998 Simpsons episode. What I have seen is someone ignorant getting in politic from nowhere saying stupid things with a poor vocabulary and badly constructed sentences, acting like a as*hole and the mob applauding him for it. I don't reject Trump because of the influence of the media or whatever. I can think for myself and some of the things he promised are outright evil, not some things invented by the media but things he outright said that can be seen in video and for which the mob is applauding.

I have to admit, there was a similarity parody wise.

I can understand why people who are prejudiced against Hisanics or Muslems would be drawn to Trump. I never understood why anti Zionists and anti semites were drawn to him. Jewish son in law, Jewish grandchildren, campained on a platform of bieng more pro Israel.

Despite populist rhetoric he is a successful business man from New York City. Why did people think he would not be friendly with wall street and bankers?

Yep he did a 180 degree turnaround on Syria. Yes his policy seems to be based on impulse and who is speaking to him at the moment. This is not different from what we have been seeing from this man for the last two years.

People did not see the above because.

They drank the kool aid bacause of his charisma.

Or they saw it but were so desperate for change they they ignored the obvoius and took a desperate long shot.

Not unlike desperate parents who give thier children MMR " therapy" in an attempt to "recover" thier kids from autism. Yep your kid is screaming so loud glass is breaking but that is the evidence the treatment is working killing the poisen in the gut or evidence the treatment is bieng done wrong. Those who say otherwise have bought into the big pharma government conspiracy or are part of it.

John McCain btw should be banned from traveling from outside the country, its weird how death follows him wherever he goes.

I find it very unlikely that Assad personally ordered the use of chemical gas here, it doesn't make any sense strategically and just as last time(that it was made into a big deal, there have been a number of gas attacks in Syria since mostly by said rebels) It is far more in the interest of these 'rebels' to broadcast these images and play the victim than anything else so the a false flag is entirely possible.

A country that can't even control its borders isn't really a country, so this is very encouraging (emphasis added):

ICE Agents Arrest 82 Illegals From 26 Different Countries In DC Area Operation

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have arrested 82 illegal immigrants in a five-day operation spanning Washington, D.C., and Virginia.

The operation, which resulted in the arrests of 82 people hailing from 26 different countries, took place from March 26 to March 30, WUSA9 reports. One arrest also occurred in Maryland.

Of the total swept up by ICE agents, 68 had criminal convictions such as armed robbery, drug distribution and larceny.

The other 14 had other issues. Two had close connections to the dangerous MS-13 gang. Two had ignored deportation orders. Three overstayed their visas.

One of the arrests was of a second lieutenant in command of the Somalian National Security Service, which is widely regarded as a perpetrator of human rights abuses.

The illegals came from 26 different countries, including: Algeria, Bolivia, China, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guatemala, Guinea, Honduras, Iran, Jamaica, Mexico, Moldova, Mongolia, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Peru, Philippines, Somalia, South Korea, Sudan, Trinidad, Vietnam and Sierra Leone.

US deploys warships to Korean peninsula over North Korea's missiles tests

Of course that probably pales in comparison to the number of submarines North Korea likely has lurking off the west coast of the U.S.

Maybe it's too early to speculate, but I do declare - President Trump is coming around to the middle and leaving his right wing faction in the dirt.

Bannon is beginning to be an annoyance...

http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald- ... ve-n745501

Spicer is making embarrassing, disparaging remarks about the Holocaust and knows he let the president down...

And Trump himself is reversing a lot of the divisive rhetoric he used during his campaign to get elected. Here he admits that NATO is no longer obsolete...

Yes, Trump had a rocky start to his presidency, but by golly, he's turning out to the leader that he should be, not just the beacon of light for those who want to be separated from the world into their own little enclaves.

Choice of Pro-Immigration Economic Adviser Riles Trump’s Base
Quote:
To these supporters, the appointment of Kevin A. Hassett, announced late last Friday afternoon, as his top White House economist is another sign that the president is succumbing to the swamp he promised to drain.

Like most economists, Mr. Hassett believes that immigration spurs economic growth. At times he has pilloried Republicans for becoming the “Party of White,” arguing in 2010 that Republicans like then-Gov. Jan Brewer of Arizona “have too often appeared hostile to immigrants.” In 2013, Mr. Hassett said the United States should double its intake of immigrants.

Mr. Hassett, who currently works at the American Enterprise Institute, is a widely respected conservative economist who previously advised prominent Republicans like Senator John McCain and Mitt Romney.

But for those who backed Mr. Trump because of his promises to build a wall and deport illegal immigrants, such notions are heresy.

“It would be nice considering how important the immigration issue has been to Trump to have gotten an economist to this position who was at least not a booster for higher immigration,” said Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, an anti-immigration think tank.

Mr. Trump’s right-wing media supporters are also up in arms. Breitbart, the website that was formerly run by Steven K. Bannon, the president’s chief political strategist, said Mr. Hassett’s appointment showed that the “corporatist, business-first” was muscling out the “populist, America-first” that got Mr. Trump elected. Commenters on the conservative website Infowars were similarly appalled, with some lamenting, “We have been sold a false bill of goods.”

And some leaders of the white nationalist “alt-right” movement also interpreted the move as a sellout. “This is yet another betrayal, just like breaking his promise to deport all illegal immigrants and to repeal President Obama’s executive amnesties,” said Jared Taylor, the editor of the online magazine American Renaissance who spoke highly of Mr. Trump during the campaign.

Mr. Taylor said the choice of Mr. Hassett combined with the recent airstrikes in Syria make it “very hard to believe anything he says.”

bolding mine because I always found anything he said hard to believe because I have always found his statements during the campaign a weird toxic mixture of calculated marketing and gut bullying impulsive instinct. It was the art of closing the deal, the deal being elected president. It has taken until now for a lot of people to catch on. I am supposed to be the autistic one with lack of theory of mind.

I always felt the some of the populist change promised was needed but now populism is going to be very discredited for a long time.

North Korea does have an outsized submarine fleet for a destitute small third world country of 25 million population. Despite having a population size of only about four average sized United States, and despite having practically no surface navy (it has numerous small patrol boats a few corvettes and frigates, and no destroyers, cruisers, nor aircraft carriers), NK does have a fleet of 70 subs. On paper that would make it almost the equal of the US Navy's force of 75 subs. But the US submarine force consists of up to the minute new high tech high performance nuclear powered subs. The NK submarine force consists of decades old aging low tech diesel electrics (mostly gifted to Pyanyang decades ago by Peking and Moscow).

My question is why would you assume that North Korea is flooding US waters with submarines? And in what sense could the North korean navy cause the US Navy to "pale in comparison"?

A typical single US aircraft carries has more tonnage than all 70 of north korea's subs put together (probably more than their entire navy put together). And thats with out the task force of ships deployed to protect the carrier.

I seriously doubt than any north korean sub could make it across the pacific to "lurk" off California. But even they had that capability why would North Korea deploy them that way? And why that in response to these manuevers?

The US Navy (biggest navy in the world) is teaming up with the Japanese navy (one of the top five biggest navy in the world), and the South Korean Navy (one of the top ten navies in the world) to "show the flag" off of North Korea's shores.

North Korea's navy (not in the top ten) can barely defend the nation's own shores. Their response to these three giant maritine intruders? Send the one strong asset of their navy (the submarine arm) six thousand miles away from their shores to the coast of California????? That would not strengthen their position. It would in fact lethally weaken their defense. Why would they do that?
