If there *is* a war on Christmas, then it shares a common feature with The War on Drugs.... it is not very effective:

92 percent of Americans celebrate Christmas:

However, specific Christmas activities tend to be on the decline.

Santa Claus in particular is taking a big hit (even though he walked away on a "Affluenza" defense after his arrest on page 11 in this thread) with less than one third of Americans participating in Santa Claus home visits.

Interesting development, by the way: The largest support for Santa is among *Hispanic* Americans (see the link above).

Obviously, this must lead to an inevitable outcome. Meet the new Santa Claus:

Thanks to the retail industry Christmas is expanding (used to be only 12 days, then it was the whole year after Tanksgving, then that after Halloween, and now the whole year after Independence Day).

So the 'war' on it is backfiring. And "defending" christmas against this war has got to be the easiest fight possible. So I wanna enlist in defending against the war on christmas- so I can get veterans benifts for doing nothing by defending something that doesnt need defending! In fact you're defending a juggarnaut thats threatenign to snuff out the rest of the calender year!

Hehe, you can define the secularization of Christmas into a commercial holiday as "Christmas is winning". Not sure Xtians would agree.

If the goal of the 'war' is to secularize Christmas, then the secularists are winning; but if the goal of the 'war' is to eliminate Christmas entirely, then it may not be going so well.

Christmas is a made up holiday. It is the pagan Saturnalia co-opted by the early Christian Church.

To put it bluntly, it is strictly for the Goyim.

You're confusing cause and effect.

I had to drive someone else's vehicle the other day, it's new with all the bells and whistles.I couldn't figure out how to turn off the radio and know it's not a good idea for me to be fooling with it going down the road.I was running late to pick up someone and didn't feel like stopping to figure it out.So for one solid hour I had to endure corny carols on a staticky station. When I got out of the truck I hated Christmas like never before.I would have punched Santa.

One of the preset stations in my car started playing nothing by sappy xmas music the day before Thanksgiving. Thankfully, there are 4 other easy-hit buttons to choose from (as well as a 1-inch wide 'off' button). I can't imagine having endured that for an hour straight.
