How about George W. Bush in 2000? I remember there was something about Florida back then.

I don't remember it ever taking this long for us to hear the results. When Obama won, we all knew in less than 24 hours. When Trump won, we also knew in less than 24 hrs and protests broke out on Election day in 2016 when we all found out he had won.

My husband says it's because a lot more people voted than they had before and I said "Trump must have pissed that many people off so they all decided to vote blue to get him out of office, that is what my online friend did even though he likes neither party."

I think it has something to do with the mail-in ballots taking longer to count. Don't quote me on that though.

It's a fiasco of historic proportions.

75 days left to sort it all out.

I remember finding out that same day he had won and I thought having two George Bushes and Clinton being sandwiched in between would be very interesting in our US history.

I am still waiting for us to have a female president. We had a black one already. Now waiting for more diverse presidents.

Now we have had a non politician as our president who was a businessman and tried to run our country like it's a business and then getting upset when residents don't listen to him. We're not your employers Donald. We don't get paid to be a US citizen.

With Biden pulling ahead in Pennsylvania I think that's just about a wrap. Now for all the legal shenanigans.

^ Which I think will be much more short-lived than Trump expects.

Mr. Biden is expected to address the Media and Public regarding the election at 20:00 EST.

:D

Mr. Trump is expected to issue a pre-emptive counter-address sometime before then.

Trumpster is still potus for another 75 days, and I'm sure he'll milk and get a tremendous amount of attention during that time. And probably a couple or more years after that. Probably some people will become even more obsessed with him once he's out of office. Interesting (sorta) to observe.

I had a discussion the other day. How much power Trump will have post being president will largely be dependent on the media giving him a megaphone.

Given how much he drives their ratings they'll probably hang on his every word long into the next term.

My cousin just posted a video on youtube of someone who claims they don't work for the government but they gave inside information that Trump is the winner and that Biden cheated and those involved will be arrested soon and all the mail ballots were watermarked and that they can prove the Biden ones were fake....

Ummm... Whatever....

Yep - I caught an interesting interview with Mary Trump (his psychologist niece) who thinks he'll try and take everyone down with him.
