They always told me God has a plan for everyone therefore we must follow that plan whether we like it or not.

Let's say God spoke to me and said he wants me to be a turd farmer. I'd say f**k no. I have my own hopes and dreams. I'm not going to be a turd farmer even if God smites me, reanimates me, and lobotomizes me to make me more obedient. I have free will. I want to make entertainment that makes people laugh, cry, or crap their pants. If God wants me to farm the turds out of those pants, he can get someone else to do it because I'm not going to.

The thing I hate about political parties is their approach to the problems our country faces. There are four different approaches they use and they're all equally horrible.

Approach 1. They have no interest in solving the problem. They will lose all power and status if the problem is solved.
Approach 2. They have a solution that doesn't work, but they don't realize this.
Approach 3. They have a solution that makes the problem worse, but they don't realize this.
Approach 4. They pretend to solve the problem and know that they aren't.

You can probably guess what political party in The States uses which approach, but what about political parties of other countries?

Even if us citizens know the correct solution, we don't have the resources to enact it so we are ignored.

Australia isn't as purely a 2 party system the way USA seems. There are 4 major parties and mechanisms for the inclusion of minor parties in government.
The two major right wing parties, the Nationals (country) and Liberals (city... yes we've always been acutely aware of the misnomer) formed a coalition (LNP) that has held firm since last century.
Of the two left wing parties Labour has moved so firmly into the centre that their support base split and allowed the Greens to become the fourth major party. Centrist Labour would rather allow a right wing government than form a left wing coalition.
Applying this to your approaches.
1. This is visible in both Labour (ALP) and LNP
2. Same
3. Same plus Greens
4. Same as 1
5. They have a solution that WILL fix the problem, but cannot implement it because the other parties force #1 ...pretty much a left wing problem.(Green plus split ALP)
6. Multipartisan consensus NEARLY allows solution but internal division forced by #1.
7. Multipartisan consensus, temporary solution, until someone decides they have a better solution (makes more money for our friends or gets us back in power)

A good example of 7. Multiparty consensus that nuclear power is not a cost effective option. (Unless on a spacecraft or submarine)
LNP pulls a Trump...makes stuff up, pulls the dodgiest accounting ever and pretends building nuclear power stations will lower everyone's bills (would anyone like a tariff with that?)
The idea is beyond laughable unless they KNOW the sun is going to disappear for a few decades and the design parameters of wind turbines cannot cope with whatever weather is coming.
Otherwise it is a blatant and desperate 1+3

I'm pretty sure supernatural topics are inherently not a concern to science, but debunking the premise of some supernatural claims sometimes falls within their concern.

If I ever travel abroad and people ask me where I'm from, I'll just say The States. They'll know what I'm referring to.
This isn't the America I knew and grew up in anymore and we are ANYTHING but united.

I think it is sad that St Judes and the Shriner hospitals have TV ads begging for money. To me it shows we need healthcare for everyone. Healthcare should be based on whether you need it instead of being based upon whether or not you can afford it.

The Ayn Rand capitalist says that God rested on the 7th day, but could've accomplished so much more if he didn't, therefore humankind could accomplish so much more if we never rested to.

That's how they justify getting rid of day offs, vacation days, breaks, and paid leaves of any kind.

To them, our lives have no meaning unless we're working harder, faster, HARDER, FASTER!! !! !
