Maybe Frank Zappa's 'Penguin In Bondage' is what should be on Ragtime's hit parade. But then again, it's probably too close to the truth.

How can he leave out Catholics anyway, because they represent quite a chunk of Christianity anyway, and have for centuries. Or maybe he'd like to think that the only true Christians are that little sect that adopted Christ way back when. If that's the case, he is rooted as well, because every one of that lot over in America are not true Christians, and they have borrowed if not pinched their beliefs from anywhere they could get them. To use an Australian term, they are more of a Clayton's Christianity... The religion you have when you don't have a religion. Oh well, he thinks he knows where he's going, it remains to be seen whether it's the Blue Oyster or any other gay establishment...

Anybody who is intolerant to the beliefs of others and shoves their religion down other people's throats should be persecuted. So by definition, yes! They give the rest of religious people a bad name.

You arrived late, so let me update you about the fact that "shove religion down [their/our/your] throats"(TM) is now a trademarked cliche for atheists' and agnostics' exclusive use. Even if you are an atheist or agnostic, please place the appropriate "(TM)" marker after each use of the phrase. Thank you.
Oh dear Raggy, I think that is getting just a tad precious!

I'll also explain my position regarding faith as it isn't a case of not believing. I was brought up a Catholic. Despite now being lapsed, I find it more than annoying when you say all kinds of things about Catholicism that just aren't true.

I like to have reasonable religious discussions but like TheChosenOne and others, DO NOT like having somebody push their ideas upon me and say I'm totally wrong. I might well be mistaken in some aspects (as is everybody as we are all imperfect humans) but would be extremely surprised if it were everything in error.

Being an imperfect being just as I and all the rest of us are, what gives you the right to say that you are the ultimate authority on Christian teachings? I'm not suggesting you're completely mistaken - just that you can't know everything.

By saying differently, you open yourself up to charges of arrogance and I believe this is already happening in a number of threads.
