that was more an option for home defense, but what's stopping you from transporting it with you in your car?
Cars transport us on the road. We don't drive them on sidewalks, paths, into malls, stores, etc...
Kinda hard to break a carjacking attempt with a bat. Most cars arent big enough to get a good swing in. A jab at best which is not what a bat is best for.

I'll assume you're also in favor of banning knifes, razors, pointy objects etc? all can be a 1 step method to ending your life just as guns can/ but I assume you use all those so no don't ban the stuff you like and use just the stuff others use but you don't thats ok.
