On one hand I'm hearing about a delay in vaccine development...

And on the other hand I'm hearing about how Pfizer developed a 90% effective vaccine much sooner than one was expected.

The money that has been invested in vaccine development would most likely have been better spent on treatment. We already know that monoclonal antibody treatments work but nothing visible is being done to develop them to where they can be readily available to treat the relatively few people who develop life-threatening symptoms from COVID-19. Then I suppose the rest of us could just let ourselves get sick for a couple of weeks and not worry about it. Just getting sick is not an option at the moment and if you don't believe that just take a look at what's happening in US hospitals.

Vaccines may work in theory but I nevertheless think we've hitched our cart to wrong horse.

How about they are all to blame. This argument that the virus orginates in China doesn't give Frump a free pass to allow 280,000 Americans to die and to be a superspreader spreading covid to your co-workers and to the MAGA mobs who come and listen

Makes one wonder if all the people that voted in person , might not be considered a super spreader event ?

Like Jair Bolsonaro allowed 165,000 Brazilians to die. And Ram Nath Kovind allowed 130,000 Indians to die. And so on.

Trump supporters rally, peacefully.
BLM and Antifa join in and there is trouble.
Apparently it takes two to tango.
Who would have thunk it.

Perhaps the different groups should avoid each other?
Silly me, we are talking about NTs, after all.

Had the Wuhan virus been kept in China*, and not transported around the world via China*s* workers, there wouldn't have been 1.2 million dead now. 8O
You do know that, right?

For the life of me, I don't understand how you can by-pass this *fact*.
Well, I actually do.

From what I gathered, before the Chinese realised the virus was new, it already leaked to Europe.
Most of the pandemics is "European strain" now, even in China.
Ease of travel is a great thing of global world but it has clear a downside when it comes to epidemics.

Well it seems to me that the only reason why the protestors and rioters are demanding police reform, is that is has some reason to do with Trump being in office. I feel that if Hilary Clinton had become President, that people would not be protesting and rioting so much over police reform. Is this true possibly?

Not sure if that is the case. Even before hillary or trump people where not feeling great about the police. At least I guess now the boot-lickers identify themselves with blue line stickers on their cars.

Oh okay, but somehow the defund the police protests, became about the election. Why did it become about the election if it wasn't because of Trump, as oppose to another President being in office?

Well, Hillary Clinton ran for office on a platform which included comprehensive criminal justice reform.

Instead the US got Trump, who liked to encourage police brutality..

the authoritarians/racists took the defund the police types as an affront which at least in part drove their enthusiasm at the polls for their hero trumpoleeney.
