"one day every tongue will confess you are god, one day every knee will bow. Still the greatest treasure it makes for those who gladly choose you now."

He doesn't want us to go to hell. It's just, he can't bare to witness sin. When humans lie, cheat, murder, steal, and basically sin god doesnt see it. He showed us his love through Jesus Christ(all the evidence is there that he existed if you look for it), and made it so easy. No santa claus isn't real, us humans made that up because we dont want to acknowledge the true power of that day, when the messiah was born. The closer to Jesus I become,(i have a long ways to go) the more it breaks my heart when I see others reject him. Reject bush, reject osama bin laden, reject all that is unholy in this world, but to reject his holiness breaks my heart, no for myself but for those who reject him. I dont go out of my way to push what I believe to be true on other people, but when it is brought up I feel compelled to.

Anyways, I began to question God when I was about 10 or so. I stopped questioning God at around 20 or so. Despite having had similar views as atheists before, I find it difficult to understand how a person can actually be an atheist and not be blind and deaf.

How can you be an Atheist when you are a Republican? There is no such thing.

Edit: Oh, read through your post. You are just the stereotype I met hundreds of times in Colorado Springs. Never mind then.

Oh, and by the way I do belive in a God, a tolerant one. My beliefs are Christian Unitarianism influenced by Shia Islam.

If your serious, I envy you. I believe in god but I want to ask him why he never made it easier for me to believe when I get to heaven. Seriously I know people who had god speak to them, talk to them, send angels to them. What makes them so special? /rant

SIXLUCY has not been around here in a while. She's a wild one, that girl...I miss her...

How doeds Shia Islam inspire tolerance? They talk about being tolerant and peace-loving, but I don't know ...

What you see in Iran is fundamentalist Shia Islam. When any religion is taken to an extreme it become bent and warped. And because Iran is the only large majority Shia country now, they have massive influence over our opinion of Shia islam. Essentially, many are judging Shia off its most warped offshoot. And even then, it is more moderate than Sunni's warped offshoot, Wahab. Women in Iran have issues, but they also have freedoms that are not imaginable in Saudi Arabia. When any religion is judged through it most warped offshoot ideology, that religion will look bad.

Edit: Too vague on something

Fair enough. I wouldn't my religion to be equated with the WBC.

Atheism is a little presumptious if you ask me, I mean nobody has ever been able to prove what happens to the conscience after death.

Having faith is not about being able to prove anything. Having inverse faith (atheism) is ALL about the need to inversely prove something. Identify it for yourself, then deny it ever existed. Scream and shriek this denial to the whole world.

Naaah! Atheism is a guy looking at what religious people do and wondering what the hell makes them act that way.

I am participating here and in other sites for just that purpose and the answers they give me cannot be real as they make no sense whatsoever. I think they are just kidding me.

Then why persist? Why not just leave?
