Of course I can. The Constitution is not some arcane text which only anointed High Priests may interpret. It belongs to everybody, and considering that it was drafted by a committee of lawyers, it is written in remarkably clear language. I have as much right to read it, and judge politicians' claims against it, as you or John Roberts or anybody else. It may not be a perfect document, but it really doesn't contain a lot of "slop." When the government claims powers not properly granted to it, it acts in an unconstitutional and illegal (or perhaps extralegal) manner. I can only call 'em like I see 'em.
Do people have a right to be protected by the police? By the military? It seems to me that those are services that people have the right to.
You can disagree with the law all you want. It is your right. Just as it is my right to have the opinion that your (even if somewhat involuntary) contribution toward a healthier society is a good thing. You will not be healthy forever. No one will. I am merely stating that you cannot call something illegal that obviously is not.
You can also go ahead and believe that the government has no right to any authority not specifically mentioned in the Constitution, which I personally think is a load of hooey. The government is elected by the people, which gives them the power to do anything they want to that is not overturned. There are very few things specifically prohibited in the Constitution, and almost all of our regulations could be argued against on your arguments. By your reasoning, the government shouldn't be allowed to have oversight and enforcement capabilities over any aspect of our country; the government should have no say in its people's safety, welfare, and should not be allowed to provide emergency services or aid of any kind. That is not a country that I would want to live in. Anarchy may sound fun, but it is a very dangerous place to be.

First, where do rights come from? If you accept they are from governments, then what right do we have to b***h about the civil liberties or lack thereof in places like Africa or such? Next thing, anarchy. I am not implying that the other poster was saying he was for anarchy, but anarchy does not mean chaos, it merely means people should be able to choose their destiny, regardless of it's their consequences. Also, we must ask, where does the legitimacy of the state come from? Then we must ask, if we say the masses, that were do the masses get their legitimacy? Merely by number? By consent? In my opinion, it is the individual that should control the state's destiny, not by mere number, but by respect for everyone, minorities, majorities, or those who are scorned. Taking this into consideration, all laws should be as neutral to all constituencies as much as possible.
Now as far as anarchy, it does not necessarily mean non governance, as is the case of several collectivist versions of anarchy, as well as panarchism, which I think is a good compromise between those who do not want to have control over themselves. Why should we have malcontents in our countries, if they will merely hold of progress? This way, everyone is on board, and can have greater progress in their particular views. And if you want a unified state, you can barter, buy, or what not in order to have a unified territory.
Obamacare is NSFW.
Buy seeds, a house in the woods, a gun, and a copy of Walden.
Don't go to the grocery for veggies, plant a garden. (my grandmother and her husband get their eggs and greens from free range chickens and a big garden. It saves money.)
And then cut the heating utility with a fireplace. Also get blankets and new clothes from fur and leather tanned from deer brain mash.
Find a good outdoorsman supply store close to you.
Learn to create maps.
Fish and trap as well.
No pets but one dog.
Become a viking, mountainman or bigfoot, whichever you prefer. (ghillie suit required)
Work with the local forest rangers and aid in search in rescue as a second job of sorts.
Sell homemade alcohol legally, and make knives and tools for cityfolk.
Realize you are a hermit and start expanding your distillery, attracting more ladies.

But then I will have to pay taxes on that moonshine XD . If I could just go on an island and colonize it, I would definitely do that. But unfortunately , I believe all territory is owned by one state or another. Why can't I have my land, my domain

Most people don't have those abilities, and many couldn't learn them. If it works for you, then go for it. I would if I could. I don't think that I could provide my own healthcare, so it is pretty much off the table for me.

And the first time a global-warming-fueled megastorm comes through and your crops are wiped out or your home is flooded/blown over/destroyed by a falling tree, you're SOL.
" This isn’t abstract. It isn’t academic. It isn’t a matter of ideology. It isn’t even an issue of constitutionality (although it’s that, also). This is about people. People with kids, and bills, and health problems. This is about people who can no longer afford their health coverage, their mortgages, their lifesaving medication. This is about doctors and nurses leaving medicine behind, driven away by destructive bureaucratic interference. This is about moms and dads losing their jobs so that their employers can compensate for the financial burden of Obamacare. This is about people without insurance because of Obamacare, now being fined for not having insurance because of Obamacare. This is about business owners driven to the edge of bankruptcy. This is real. We heard a lot of fantasies about what Obamacare was “supposed” to accomplish, now it’s time to talk about what it’s actually doing."

the article was crap. i could handle your kind better if you just admit that you see my type as useless eaters. and your repetition that ACA clients are getting "free stuff" is a god damned lie! i paid my share of taxes [unlike your rich buddies] over my working life. and most of the plans on the exchanges are NOT free, not by a long shot. but keep repeating the big lie and hope more clueless people believe you. you are just an apologist for the lousy non-system which came before ACA. best health care in the world? HAH! best only if one is wealthy enough to pay for it. our nation's health indicators now follow behind many other nations. our life expectancy is now near the bottom of the western world.

As a "useless eater" myself, I applaud your rage.
