I have seen this suggested several times, including from (but not limited to) highly unreliable sources.

Having said that, my understanding of Mr Trump indicates this won't happen should the final results (once counting and constitutinally required processes has been completed) not be in his favor, and he will leave the venue on his own volition on, or even before, January 20 (Which I believe is the day they role transfers, and so the right to residency in the venue transfers with it).

Either way it will be interesting to see what happens, and whose judgment is more accurate\reliable.

You're both wrong. This power struggle is too complex for anything even remotely that straightforward to possibly happen.

It's not "unreliable" of us to state that our president is a flaky reality TV caricature of whoever you seem to be perceiving.

Nobody knows the future but we do know the geopolitical risks of electing a "businessman" to rebrand fascism.

How about the risks involved in the apparent rebranding of conservatives as fascists?

I'll take that with a grain of salt since ours are known to hoard assault weapons & posess fragile egos.

You're asking for a state of affairs you don't understand the implications of. Calling you a fascist isn't a risk, it's a callout regarding the obvious fact that you are pushing that agenda. You're here to disrespect the sensibilities of peaceful people. I don't really have any obligation to call you anything else.

We have a similar idiot named Scott Morrison (our prime minister) who was trying to kiss trump's feet

I see it all the time too. I was parroting.

IMO nothing of any great significance will happen and the usual transition will take place.

But the hype will keep going until then.

From my observation those who profess being the peaceful ones often seem to be bristling with hostility. I'm waiting to see shops that have signs in the window saying "No Conservatives Allowed". Except the language used will be "No Fascists Allowed".

Tell the victims of "Antifa" that...

OR, more likely, it is people not understanding, and unwilling to try and understand, the views of those they are labelling that is misinformed, and so incorrect labels are applied with those who have been thus labelled treated based on the false labels rather than their actual beliefs\views....

Would you care to elaborate on your insinuations here? How does endeavouring to provide factual information (with sources so those interested can confirm what is presented, and refute anything which may have been incorrect) "disrespect the sensibilities of peaceful people"? Or was that code for "I don't like the facts, so I'll try to smear the person presenting them to try and stop others seeing the facts"?

When I see condemning labels being applied I'm reminded of yellow stars and pink triangles.

Damn straight. Fascists are fascists & they can whine to me all they want about me presenting the facts honestly.

I'm not speaking in code, I'm pointing out the alt-right tactic of dancing around the point & playing the victim card about being labeled antagonists.

Antagonism is antagonism, I don't care if you're antifa or a wannabe bomber in a minivan full of AR-15s. Wait a minute, one of those people has deadly weapons...

For all we know, it could be the same person described two different ways...

And that's how we know that you don't live here.

One of those people. Getting down to brass tacks, as I see it one of those people is used to label conservatives in general as murdering nazis, and murdering nazis need to be dealt with by the defenders of peace. That's what the script looks like to me. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok, you're wrong; I was criticizing the rhetoric of politicized hate & fear being thrown around like it's everyone else's logical kryptonite.

One of those people does in fact refer to the conservative trend of buying too many guns, as well as illegally modifying them to fire automatically.

Those are people who might shoot people I'm referring to. Am I really kicking the hornet's nest to ask for a little more civility than to routinely be called stupid because I'm pointing out a double standard?

Liberals with sticks =/= conservatives with assault rifles. It's not really that difficult a dynamic to understand if you give a damn about current events.

Can't wait until the AP call Georgia and North Carolina in 2120!
