You know what?
I learned that I am NOT homophobic, but I am Christian.
In sociology, I learned that homophobic is not exactly the right word to use when explaining my SMALL AND MINOR fear. Homophobia is violence and discrimination against one who is homosexual. I also learned that prejudice is the feeling and the emotion and discrimination is the behavior. I am going to admit right now that I am a latent bigot in a few places, especially in stereotyping. Latent bigot is someone who is prejudice, but doesn't discriminate. So now I know and I now apologize for admitting a few months ago that I was homophobic. It wasn't the right word.
I also learned that you were right all along about discovering one's sexual orientation, especially after taking sociology and psychology at the community college. I just think that for a lot of people, due to bigotry, sexual orientations are VERY touchy subjects, which is why I'm always afraid of talking about it.
