You can't make group generalizations.
You can't say "All conservatives are X".
You have to say, "Some conservatives are X".
I think this rule is in place to minimize hurt feelings.

So the real general unspoken rule here is don't attack Trump supporters because they are free to talk s**t about liberals all they want? Yeah, I get it.
