Not sure if you misunderstood, I was saying that people will deny something is Nazism because of what they did in WWII. Just because they are no longer gassing people or starving them or torturing them doesn't mean they don't exist anymore.
Same as how people will deny racism in society because they aren't lynching black people anymore nor putting up "no colored" signs anymore at their businesses.
Things evolve.
People get offended when they get called out on their Nazi ideologies and think they are being called a Nazi because of their opinion. They say its not Nazism because of what they did in WWII. It's like how abusers will get offended if called out on it too because they are not starving their children and not locking them in closets.
