Yes I would support a war with mexico, if that's what it takes to stop illegal immigration. Theyr leaders are TELLING them to immigrate illegally so they can send money back to Mexico. Because of our lax border policies, criminal organizations are running rampant. Also the language thing is a problem, it complicates our society by making communication between languages incomprehensible. The old saying goes "when in rome do as the romans do". If I were to move to mexico or another Spanish speaking nation, I'd learn their language out of respect. Why should they not do the same?

In other words, the second amendment, as it stands, is bupkiss, as it doesn't seem to make exceptions. How would you propose regulation, then? How could you make sure that every citizen who has a gun is not going to use that gun on himself or others on a bad day? This is excluding criminals at the moment.

You can't entirely, but doing away with our rights to keep our system in check would be even worse. There is no way to say for sure that every citizen who legally gains a gun won't go crazy and shoot someone without reasonable cause. But in the same way there is no way to assure a military soldier would not do the same thing. Look how many innocent civilians were gunned down by our troops in Nam.

People are going to kill people, with or without guns. There are other weapons available. But you can't fight your own armed forces with a knife. There needs to be checks and balances to keep the government in line.
