Animals could care less if some supernatural being tells them to rip some guys throat out. They just want to sleep.

You'd better be careful then, the Devil can strike anywhere and will do so without mercy, he will infest your dogs and cats and reduce them to...

Wait, this isn't a B-Movie based off of a book, this is Real Life.

Here's my personal thoughts: I would say no. I think the devil can't control anything because I believe that it does not even exist.

I don't believe in the devil, so no. Even if I did, I wouldn't think this. I would think every animal (including us) is controlled by both God and the devil if I did believe in the devil, because every animal (again, including us) has a good side and an evil side. There is no such thing as any creature being entirely one or entirely the other. Sometimes it may seem this way, but truly, even my worst enemies had a good side. They just never showed it when they were talking to me ;) And even the most pure of heart people in the world have a bad side. Otherwise they wouldn't have the ability to develop an appropriate emotional gauge. Good and evil, to me, are like a yin and a yang, you can't have one without the other ;) Also, I know I mentioned people in the majority of this paragraph, but I also think animals, esp. the more evolved (if you'll pardon the phrase) ones (mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, and amphibians) have the ability to know good from evil. My pet cats are a wonderful example of this, as there have been times when they have been both :)

I once discovered my pet cat forging my checks to buy catnip. I just caught him in time. He was about to invest in Bernie Madoff.

If there was a Devil, then dogs are the creatures that he likes to control. Since thousands of people have been attacked, maimed, and even killed by dogs, often without provocation.Yet christians revere dogs because dogs are subservient to humans AND dogs are social animals(christianity is a populist religion that favors the group over the individual). Since cats are solitary, independent creatures they have no incentive to be submissive to human authority which is why christian imbeciles believe that they are "agents of satan".

Only humans have agency and know good from evil (no other animal in the garden ate the fruit), so the only way I could see for Satan to control animals would be to actually possess them.

I know what you mean. I was attacked by a devil driven Pomeranian and defended myself by quickly drawing a chalk pentagram on the sidewalk and leaping inside. I then pronounced the spell "inchy minchy dominochy hump bump hooly gooly out goes y.o.u." and the dog went up in a puff of smoke.

Yes, you're right. My own dog just got back from surgery after having 3 tumors taken out (probably caused by the devils influence) and she's already tried to butcher me twice. Imagine that, thousands of people hurt and killed by dogs, I wonder what your opinion on humans is, they've killed far more.

Mistreat someone enough and they'll defenestrate you or worse.

I've been dog bitten once. Blood everywhere, there was. Mostly on my arm, for obvious reasons. I must have been, oh, five or seven years old; who knows? It was a nice dog, but he died a handful of years later. :(

I've been bitten by dogs, cats, rats always because they were frightened and it as an impulse reaction. The dog and cat and rat bites were deep but they healed nicely with no medical help. Never any problem.
