Ketutar....
i do fill much of the description of the crystal child. and i understand the question you are asking....
indeed data is valid.
and you are looking at the bigger picture....
not everyone in the world functions with the DSM, religion like most other opinions, is subjective and a way to explain and figure out the world we live in. Science works for the same aim.
New Age BS? Mayhaps...or maybe not. The label Asperger is as much a label as Indigo child. One is considered a disability and one is seen as 'special' but could be seen as Aspie supremacy.
MIght the truth lie somewhere inbetween? Each label is useful, for separate reasons.
MARKING difference ......can aid to ACCEPTANCE of difference. This is something worth fighting for, and worth our human survival as a whole. A society with only warriors, and has no farmers, starves. a society with only farmers and no warriors has no protection.
All in all, my point is DIVERSITY is BENEFICIAL towards SURVIVAL. Maybe getting caught up in defensive detailing is also not beneficial. Cant both these WAYS of classifying co-exist?
im not a new ager. sometimes who i am is a disability. sometimes its an ability. i see NT's in a similar way. Sometimes they seem severely disabled. but maybe thats why we're there.....to BALANCE.
Is UNITY & co-creation beneficial. Hell yes, i can see it in filmmaking and in every day life. We can be specialized AND function better as a whole. Does living and sharing those ways make me seem like a new age crystal? YES. so what? Americans call me Asperger. In my country....just called weird or sectioned off as 'artist' or 'nerd'. Labels...and descriptions......can help explain our differences or define us in a negative way. What seems to be lacking in ONE WAY thinking is ACCEPTANCE of difference.
Not everyone in the world believes in classifying people as medical disorders & disabilities, in fact it is seen as BS where i live.
nor do we all walk around thinking some kids can perform magic.
tho what is USEFUL in both the DSM and Indigo movement, that the oversensory issues, etc and ways to manage it are being offered, no matter which extreme they come from?
where i live 'society' wins....what valued is conformity and sameness, and lack of consideration for anything outside of that. a narcissistic culture. Everything is BS in a reductionist world. And so we lack skills, our survival wanes, growth as a whole is halted and its a dog eat dog world.
