I am not a bigot. I just want the blacks and hispanic communities to start standing on their own two feet with out the help of the white man's tax dollar. Look at Africa they are all the time crying out to either America, Australia, England and what not for aide instead of trying to work the problem out on their own before calling out for help. Capitalism is the best system there is so far. I'm not making out that it is perfect. Communism is a good idea on paper but has never really worked due to its flaws. All communist governments both now and in the past have been authoritarian or totalitarian.

And what harm does the Crown do? It's cheap enough these days and has very little political power. Would you really want President Blair officially representing the UK (yes, I know he's become more presidential but the thought of him having that title rather horrifies me).

Look who's talking 2. Well social democracy as practiced in Icelandic countries would be a step in the right direction. Communism hasnt worked well because they were totalirian and corrupt. If you look at these same countries they have been even more corrupt and worse off under capatilism. It can still be implemented right, iv got to have hope for my fellow humans but it is hard.

The crown doesnt do too much harm any more but we arent a true democracy while our head is unelected. We also need to put an end to the peer system wherby you can buy titles or get a seat in the house of lords for a "loan" to the ruling party and it's members.

Disagree with you on the point about having an elected head of state. We don't need one.

I think the House of Lords should remain unelected, but a lottery-style system should be brought in instead of having people pay for peerages. An elected house will mean a house full of political loyalists and non-entities. The system needs to be reformed, but I don't expect anything good under this fascist government.
