How much do the rich care about us?

Not all Freemasons are rich. In fact, none of them here are at all. In my city, most Masons are from an army background - mostly retired officers and such.

My family has a history of Freemasonry, and we are not rich (although we were during my great-grandfather's time). Nevertheless, it's nothing more than a charity club with a rather amusing disguise.

On the main topic - having money, or the lack of it, has absolutely nothing to do with charity. You can be a selfish person who's poor, or a rich person who's selfless. It essentially boils down to our personality.

I mean you get nasty poor people as well as nasty rich people.

Although my man says that (in genrel) that the rich don't give a fig about the poor!

If you don't mind this is a very upsetting subject for me (I have my reasons) so I'll go now.

people who struggle and try hard but fail i will help.
i will not make myself poor in helping unfortunate people because it means that they have dragged me down into their hole.

poor people are always inclined to look for a way out of poverty, and if everyone else is poor then they have no opportunity to climb up on.

i am rather simple and silly and i have found ways to make good money because i do not sit around wallowing in laziness and self despair. people have either courage and determination or they have resignation to their defeatist attitudes.

i will help people who are disabled and try, and they are very glad i can help them.
