Respect for the dead is about basic human decency, even if the "terrorist's" group doesn't show the same dignity in addition to their crimes, it is still barbaric to disrespect the dead by my standards, and if the U.S. wants to have any high ground over "terrorists" you have to prove they're on high grounds themselves.

Not entirely. Subjective reality vs objective reality. Both are meaningful but despite your perceptions, having one apple and receiving another apple will give you two apples*.

*No action is taken with the original apple at the point of transaction and the original apple is still in pristine condition.

i was just saying simply that one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter... just as one man's sh!t is another man's stuff... as my statement would apply to what was being discussed.

Or the terrorist is the freedom fighter depending on the decade as is the case we're facing. Same people, same motive, new target.

The term "terrorist" is relative to whoever is using it. When we bombed Hiroshima, we were heroes. If a suicide bomber were to blow up a random day-care center in America, he would be a terrorist. I'm sure there are people around the world who consider some Americans to be terrorists. Of course, instead of blowing up their houses, we're blowing up their culture by westernizing everything we touch, but that's another topic all together. :)
