Well, there is nothing wrong with studying Nazism and learning about it. I certainly have in the past, as I am interested in politics and history, in addition to having German ancestry. But some of the things you are saying, such as that comment about being white, are offensive. Perhaps you don't actually feel that, but defending Storm Front? You must have better uses of your time

EDIT: I am under the impression on this and other forums that because you do not like someone you can say whatever you want about them. An ad hominem is a fallacy no matter who you use it against.

The problem is, nobody here wants to hear what Storm Front has to say. I suspect they have trolled WP in the past (as other members have mentioned) and despite what you are saying about Autism, it is naive to assume they actually believe that. I have met my fair share of Neo-Nazis, and like Nazism itself, they are good at telling people what they want to hear. Mostly, to me, the only thing they are good for is condescension

I think he was stating Stormfront's attitude, not his own.

As much as Wombat and NationalSocialist annoy me (which is a lot), I do agree with HerrGrimm that current Neo-Nazism is not the exact same thing as Nazism 1933.

However, I do think that if Stormfront are trying to be 'autism friendly', it's really just one of those things fascists do where they try to recruit people on the edges of society. A person with very high functioning autism might not be too embarassingly untermensch to try and gain support from.

Though, I still think they would rather have us exterminated, that doesn't rule out the possibility that they try to recruit autistics because it's expedient.

It's also possible that NationalSocialist is just a trolling Nazi and not SF affiliated. I don't care. I'd like to say 'try to ignore them', but you shouldn't really do that with fascists.

No not here. Other places. I tried to stop an ad hominem attack in one thread and said to please use proof instead of attacking other people. Unfortunately the person I defended was NS. So apparently I am an apologist. I'm not the best at argument either so it comes off wrong all the time.

EDIT: NationalSocialist is the real deal, but I do not know if he is SF. I refuse to believe Wombat is NS. And like half of the entire board is playing a trick on me then on the autism thing. A lot believe vaccines cause it though.

EDIT #2: I said most do not recruit in my opinion. I am not 100% on that.

Like I implied earlier, NS is not going to win any fans through his username. He has posted a few interesting things that weren't related to Nazism, necessarily. But picking the username NationalSocialist is almost like starting a thread with the express purpose of flame baiting.
I think you'll find that there are a lot of scholarly people here open to discussing the politics, history and ideology of Fascism (more likely it will turn into a stupid debate from the local conservatives about how Nazism is actually a Communist plot or some other illogical, projecting hogwash- I digress) but defending or promoting Fascism/Nazism will not win one any friends

I live in a very black and white world. An ad hominem is an ad hominem. I did it regardless of who the person was. Actually I used a Stormfront quote to prove that the Soviets were exterminating Jews and that actual history took place to STOP an NS view, but it did not come off very well, despite the fact everything was true in a typical history book and just had Stormfront on the bottom of the post.

EDIT: I never said to take what NationalSocialist said as fact. I just said to try to refute his (blatantly wrong in most cases) opinion with facts instead of using ad hominems.

Well the USSR under Stalin was certainly not a friendly place to Jews. In any case an important lesson is that, sometimes the content of the information is not important, what is important is who is saying it. It does not necessarily seem logical, but unfortunately in practice does matter. Nobody wants to hear what Storm Front has to say, for a lot of good reasons, even though you probably had no bad intentions mentioning this article. If what you were saying is true (not here to debate that, just making a suggestion) there should be other, non-partisan sources you could cite. Citing Storm Front is just not going to win credibility

You're right about NS, it is better to use facts to debate, but the problem with Neo-Nazis is they aren't interested in facts unless they support their point of view. There has been enough Neo-Nazis going through here (I imagine) that people just are not interested in debating them and would rather they just stay in Storm Front and keep preaching to the choir there
