Whatever makes you feel superior. I think a lot of people are caught up in their cognitive distortions and have left em unchecked.

Yeah, they're called conservatives. One needs to look no further than Inuyasha's constant goal post moving and the same actions from those at the top of the supposed conservative food chain.

It doesn't make me feel superior. Doesn't really make me feel anything especially positive. I'd rather have something good to look forward to. Living in a confederacy of dunces is no one's dream.

You really need to stop projecting your faults onto others, I can't help it that the lamestream media has gotten so bad that a radio talkshow host is considered a more reputable source.

Outside of you lunatics, pundits are not considered reputable, anywhere in the world. Its really a shame, that you think he is reputable, because the whole purpose of punditry is to homogenize conservatism or liberalism, and thus prevent critical thinking. There is more the the world than 2 sides, but pundits won't tell you that. You make me really sad

Nobody is overpaid.

Everybody is paid based on supply and demand.

Rush provides a service that millions of conservatives want. Just because you don't like what he does, does not mean he is overpaid. A conservative, for example, may not like Michael Moore, but that does not mean he is overpaid either.

I wonder if his company cut the salaries and laid people off with the recession.

There are no priorities in our society anymore, if there ever were

I know I disagree with Orwell on issues but I don't think he's an idiot for it. I disagree with you but I don't necessarily think you're an idiot...however, I do have some concerns for your ability to critically think about some things...but you've also shown very well that you're not just out and out stupid. I also very much disagree with Dox a lot of the times but I don't think he's an idiot.

I don't think I've ever had any disagreements with Orwell, but I have with Dox & ruveyn. But personally I think they're both awesome guys

JB- why does that pave the way for censorship? The guy is getting paid millions of dollars for nothing, essentially. Maybe if there was a salary cap for these pundits, there would be people with actual interest, and not just people looking to get rich by spewing vitriolic hot air, conservative or liberal. I have the same problem with pro athlete salaries. Its a completely unreasonable and undeserved amount of money for what many others do for pennies or for absolutely nothing (voluntarily)

If someone says that they hypothetically should use the money for other things, then that's just plain old mental masturbtion and they have a right to do that as much as they want. However if they push for seizing Limbaugh's salary and the corporate financing for his show to silence his views, then that is censorship. And claiming that Limbaugh's audience is responsible for civil unrest and that his salary should be used to compensate for that is an outright lie. It's typically protesters for left wing causes that end up getting tear gassed for their behavior.

the police overaction is proof of the crimes of protesters?
I have been at peaceful protests that have been gased.

Yep. A few years back the Quebec police were busted putting undercover people in the protests to throw rocks at the riot police in an attempt to instigate violence. This kind of thing is pretty common. Right wingers really enjoy intimidation and violence, and then claiming they're 'cracking down'.
@JB: I don't suggest taking anyone's earnings for their viewpoints, that would be wrong. I simply think pro athletes, pundits and most other non-producing careers don't deserve hundreds of millions of dollars for doing nothing. They are essentially parasites

In LA, with a mayor sympathetic to socialist causes and a very liberal police department, the protesters for conservative causes get left alone because they don't cause trouble. Protests for socialist causes usually end up getting gassed at least in a couple spots because they inevitably get stupid and cause trouble, but the cops there try to refrain from breaking up protests completely as long as they can prevent a riot. Protests for alien invader causes are a free-for-all. They could torch downtown LA and the cops and city hall would turn a blind eye to avoid any appearance of racism (and they make a point of not catching illegals), and if you got caught in an angry mob of them, you wouldn't be the first person to face charges for defending yourself.

on what planet is the L.A. pd liberal? They are a notoriously racist P.D.
in phoenix the N.S.M. marches right along with the sherif's dept.

In the world of "I HAVE NO f*****g CLUE ABOUT THE WORLD OTHER THAN WHAT THE MEDIA TELLS ME!!"

The LAPD is more conservative than liberal considering that half of it is run by the Mexican gangs (all very conservative, objectivist)

I don't see how that is in any way implied by his success.

He's an entertainer. If he has a brilliance, it's in attracting a large audience. Asking for more money every chance you get is just simple math.

He is trusted because he is honest and open about his bias, he doesn't make any attempt to hide it. People don't trust the lamestream media anymore because they got caught trying to portrary their opinions and bias as news.

He also has majority share on the distribution rights of his show.
