I'm actually torn about this. On the one hand, it seems clear that the guy is a corporate schill; on the other, he looks really genuinely happy in the picture. They probably lied to him, or at least were deliberately ambiguous, about what the 'award' was for. It seems like a mean way to work, and it only hurts him personally rather than discrediting his work. It seems gratuitiously mean.

Well, in the end, as we learn in chemistry, all systems tend to balance themselves out. Let's just watch out for the reaction when that happens. <.<
