When the US rebellion began the British didn't assume that puritan Christians were the enemy. Washington didn't think Anglicans were the enemy either.

There is a difference between:

Cultural Muslims: Same as Catholics that go to Church only on Christmas.
Muslims: People as crazy as your next door Christian guy.
Radical Muslim terrorists: About 10 times as crazy as a Christian that bombs abortion clinics. Twice as crazy as the Irish Catholics/Protestants and their wars.
Arab: Person of Arab descent. (IE: 25% of me). IE: I think Islam is idiotic non-sense. Was raised Catholic and I am basically a pantheist that agrees with atheists in almost everything.

It seems that a sizable portion of Christians are happy with protecting Israel because in some incredibly crazy way it means that the prophecy in the bible was true that God would reunite the Jews together which means Christianity is the one true religion.

I mean for real, I got bashed many times in some other places by Christians telling me that Israel's creation was God's commandment and that I should not criticize the actions of Israel and also that I am a Nazi.

Which is crazy, I wonder who the truly anti-Semite is . The one who criticizes a country's actions just like he would criticize the same actions in any other country. Or the guy who, believes the correct thing is never to scrutinize that country so that he doesn't look antisemitic. Why would he be so afraid of looking like that?

How about criticizing all nations on Earth according to the same measure that Israel is criticized? Want to try that for a change? In the same circumstances of being nearly under constant attack, nitpicked for any defensive measures taken, outright slander invented about you, and having your very existence questioned constantly by your enemies which surround you... care to try that nightmare scenario with your nation involved? If your nation were attacked by another, with rocket barrages hitting civilian residences, would they just up and apologize for existing or would they defend themselves and try to prevent further attacks?

Israel is the only nation in history that is expected to sue for peace after it has won its wars.

Not according to al Jazerra who got it delivered by hand from one of UBL trusted couriers. WTC was a Muslim operation from beginning to end. Carried out by Wahabis and members of the Brotherhood in Egypt.
