That is a fact of life. One's past has some influence on one's future. There is no -necessity- for black folks to adhere to the Dionysean (Note 1) aspects of past African cultures. A black person can become Apollonian (Note 2) if he/she so chooses to.

Note 1:
Dionysean --- inclined toward the impulsive and emotional urges and passions.

Note 2:
Apollonian -- more guided by reason, logic and intellect.

No one is one hundred percent either way. However compare Mike Tyson to Mr. Spock and you will appreciate the distinction.

No, it's really not. Different races and ethnicities have different cultures many times. Refusing to admit that is turning a blind eye to reality because of political correctness.

Ah yes. Culture. Which is LEARNED, not genetically inherited.

We are all the outcome of our experience, our history, what we have learned and what we have chosen. These are all individual matters, not a matter of biological inheritance.

My position is somewhat in the middle of ruveyn and OliveOilMom. I don't deny genetic variants, this is detectable in science what I picked up from ruveyn which holds true is the idea of distinct race groups is pretty much bs. Races run in to each other. I gave one extreme example Khoishan, which it is the closest thing you are going to get to a distinct race. They trade with Bantu tribes (using thing like Ostrich egg shell jewellery for money) but are a fairly self-sufficient hunter gatherer tribes, they have little dependency, if at all.

Basically we are too good at breading,to have distinct races, We would have to isolate ourselves for a long time, to achieve that.

I could give two s**ts for political correctness.

Anyway kids stay civil now  .

Philosophy is a really old hat, stand in for science.

The reality is there are really logical white and black people, and less so. However it is not as quite as easy to separate nurture and nature as you seem to think.

These two thing are deeply interconnected. For instance we know that language relies on inherited capacity and learned behavior.

We also know that people with certain genetic traits are going to be more predisposed and better an certain things. ,It is a bit simplistic to attribute it simply to race though.

Honestly you cannot teach deductive reasoning to someone who does not have the mind for it. You can teach them the principles of it, but that doesn't mean they are going to be good at it. If you think you are logical you probably aren't as logical as you think you are, especially by virtue of that you think you are 'right' most of the time.
