We're both full-fledged members of the Hominidae.

And, by LKL's definition, the big male silverback in the video would be a patsy.

It just shows how complex these gorillas are. I saw some moments of deep introspection.

It does work both ways. There are cases of chimp mothers ganging up on other rival female's children and killing them. Human women too can be harder on the step children but its more subtle like Snow White's mom who made it seem like it was all her fault while plotting secretly behind her back.

When the mother is caring for her child she is no longer in heat if he kills the baby shell be in heat again. She doesnt want that to happen because caring for her baby and for his or her well being. Another possibility is that the baby is a male and he sees it as competition in the future so he will try to kill it.

Also, they're cooped up in a zoo, and behave more like humans than like feral gorillas. In an actual rain forest, a woman and her child could find more places to hide.
