A person's expressed beliefs (whether they are about religion or about Autism Speaks) are protected as free speech by the First Amendment to the Constitution for the United States of America. As such, they aren't and shouldn't be affected by your anger. But, you are as free to your opinion as they are about theirs.

You're right, but people should be way better educated. That is my opinion on the subject.

Hell, according to the fundies and holy rollers who immerse themselves in country (really great uplifting stuff about how you're so sad you want to die!) all Rock 'n Roll is a creature of the Devil. At one time before political correctness, they publicly called it n*gger music.

And apparently in some states marijuana was made illegal in order to stop black blues musicians from seducing nice white girls with it..... and ridiculous things like that. I swear the musicians responsible for leading to rock music got no bloody respect...hell they'd even have white people like elvis sing songs written by black musicians so they could 'sell' it since people only wanted to listen to it from someone white......racism is stupid seriously.

But seriously if the devil is responsible for rock n roll, then he can't be that bad now can he.....lol

Absolutely racism's stupid. And while the business end of Rock had definitely taken advantage of black musicians, I have to think the music genre itself had helped in bringing down such blatant racism.

If Jesus wanted to heal my autism, I'd tell him not to go all the way with it. Just take out the bad stuff about it and keep the good stuff in. :)

Maybe the Devil is autistic himself. And just wants to spread the joy.

The thing is, I'm not convinced that high functioning autism is such a disability at all, but simply represents a diversity on how one's brain is wired - everyday socialization and common sense is impaired, but high IQ often accompanied my scientific or artistic gifts more than make up for it. In other words, Jesus I doubt would have healed Asperger's, as there was nothing to heal.

/\ The problem comes in when employers are using soft skills as criteria in addition to education and experience when hiring. Soft skills tend to be the area where we can really f**k up.
To those who want something more than to be bohemian bums or genteel poor this can be a problem.....

We genteel poor, bohemian bums, unlike the employers you seem to think so highly of, realize there's more to a person than just their "soft skills."
And plenty of NT's aren't qualified for every job - why beat up on Aspies for not being a perfect fit in every case?

I believe God has the ability to heal any ailment we face in this life...but whether autism's something to be cured is another matter. Faith also plays a part in it, because God can't work in those who refuse to trust Him.

Can't! Really! I thought your God was omnipotent?

Surely you mean to say that your God "Won't" as he is somewhat petulant, churlish and petty.
