"Just following orders" is definitely a common justification for 'evil', but your position doesn't make sense when applied to followers of non-evil.

Of course, good and evil are subjective concepts, so the simple answer to the question is as follows:

We're the bad guys here. We f****d up and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis paid the price. Fundamentalist extremism is a pretty easy sell at this point, especially as the alternative is having your head removed. If someone dropped bombs and missiles all over your cities for a couple of decades, robbed your country of resources and installed a puppet regime in place of your existing leader, you might become something of a "medieval as*hole" yourself.

That saying "money is the root of all evil" was a cliche long before Pink Floyd.

But the saying is a misquotation of a line in the Bible stating that "the LOVE of money is the root of evil".

It doesnt quite make sense read either way, so either way- its clumsy!

"Money", and "the love of money", are not quite the same thing. So its hardly "useless" to distinquish the two.
