What an idealized view of elections.

From Chicago and Detroit down to New Orleans and Jackson, packaging the Black vote for sale is a major industry. It is what Community Organizers do.

While the pay per vote is low, the payoff is in government jobs, like the Welfare and Food Stamps lady being a member of your church.

Those with government connections vote the graveyard, and none of the dead have ever been convicted.

Someone has to claim to be them, vote in their precinct, talk to people they have not seen since their funeral, and often return as someone else a short time later

Why else would anyone take an unpaid job at the polls?

"All politics is local!" Getting the vote calls for some local payoff, crumbs, that then is free meals for State and National level offices.

It is how a white Republican can go to Washington from a Black District. How the local Sheriff will still be a Klan member, while Black Mayors and city councils split up the economic development money.

White people are taken advantage of, who are they going to vote for, a Republican, or a Jesse Jackson clone?

You talk about voting, I have run State wide Canidates, and who wins is who knows the most Community Organizers, Activists, and the most Poll Workers.

The real issues are dealt with long before the election, getting the Christian anti abortion vote, the homosexual marriage vote, pardons for convicted Felons, Union/Mob Workers groups, are all looking for someone who will support their view. You must speak with the Presidents, Ministers, Capos, Voodoo Priests, Pimps, and let them bring supporters to show they have clout in the system.

Pandering to the unwashed masses is hard work.

All of this is needed before you can present to the Corporations who have millions invested in the district, along with a list of people who would harm their interests, and should have accidents.

Where most seek upward power, the true powers want to be able to reach down to the lowest level and bring sudden and drastic change. Maintaining power has other rules, no elections involved.

Then there is the guilty in power, they want someone who will tip them off about a Fed investigation, and who is being relied on as a witness, so problems can be fixed before they happen.

Getting 50% plus one vote means givng your full support to the people who elected you.

Union/mob workers groups? My dad had been a union grievance man (shop steward), and never once had he or his local branch of the United Steel Workers ever deal with organized crime. Sure, the Teamsters are dirty, but that doesn't apply to every union.

some people will say and do just about anything to disenfranchise the working class. union busting is just one thing.

Wasn't Mississippi one of the crapppiest states in almost every category anyway? I think voters should stop voting at the booth and vote with their feet if they can afford it: move to some place that is less sucky overall (which is any other state). Or maybe people have already done that and only the unlucky ones are stuck there.

Well we have two from the north left coast that claim everything is about race, class.

Saint Petersburg, FL used to be retired old white folk, who were easy marks for street crime. It is now almost all black, decayed, poor, in what was a tourist town.

Jackson MS, same deal, Vicksburg, Memphis, Little Rock.

It is easy to spout liberal things when you live in the almost white only northwest.

We watch as city after city that had survived for hundreds of years becomes Detroit. They will never recover.

It is not class, poor whites get the worst of it. Their schools decline, they cannot afford private, they cannot move, and generations of upward mobility vanish.

Civic decay, opperatunity vanishes. Wealth of generations vanishes

This is recent, it was funded by Section Eight, and Food Stamps.

All intergration did was destroy functioning cities and schools, turning them over to African invasion.

So a County over with no housing, we bought 40 acres, built houses, and there is nothing for rent. The schools are private, there is no bus connection, and everything civic or economic happens through the churches. We have become Mormons.

The Africanized Cities and Counties now have to pay their own School Tax, Property Tax, maintain fire, water, sewer, police, roads, and it is all falling apart.

No one wants to locate a business there, where retail tried in New Orleans East, a huge mall, they were shop lifted out of business in a year, they hired locals, everything vanished.

Cities used to be economic engines, they produced payrolls and sales tax. Now they sell Bonds and run up unpayable debts.

Look to the ruins of Detroit to see the future of America.

This is the result of Magical Thinking, that words and fairy dust could make everyone the same.

When it was made impossible for the few who were keeping everything going to continue, they left.

They now live an Atlas Shrugged existance out in the woods, and only their functional equals are allowed in.

The incentive to make large amounts of taxable income is gone, and we find we can just get by with 200 acres of land, one 18 hole golf course, and a private air strip. It is bare bones, a simple life, but the taxes are low, the crime rate, the air is clean, the schools are good, and you can buy anything on the internet.

The Workers Paradise is free to do what they have all done, eat each other. The city eating plague will spread to the remaining cities.

Thought, labor, and functioning assets will continue to produce as they always have.
