Lung cancer meet cough syrup?

Fun fact: The guy who popularized menthol cigarettes and launched the "Cool's" brand smoked them because they helped reduce, or at least reduce the annoyance of, his terrible coughing fits.

He died of lung cancer.

It's easy to misinterpret online and a lot of people let their problems out here, where they can all crash into each other and add to paranoia.

The Internet is also full of people stirring the pot simply to see it boil. Many aren't good at telling when someone is pulling their leg just to see them react. The more insidious problems are a lot harder to spot than someone making nasty remarks on Reddit, and a lot harder to deal with.

Oh I agree. You have people in STEM fields who are hipsters and/or socially adept who run into socially inept people and they view these classic nerds(the socially inept folks) as lesser than they are and want to actively exclude them.

I've seen it go a lot of ways... some people are harmless but bad at coming across clearly. There are others I wouldn't blame anyone for taking offense to.

Feminism is a joke on the internet nowadays in all honesty. I've done a complete 180 in the past year on my opinions and look back and think, what the hell did I say?

Seriously, who gives a damn if a character is in a bikini or shows some cleavage? Don't play the game, it's as simple as that. It's something you can ignore, it's not real life. If you're offended by that, then that is pretty sad. It seems a lot of these SJWs (Anita and her ilk) don't actually like games, but just are in the medium to crap on those who enjoy games and to generally stir up the hornets nest.

It baffles me how they are so against a bloody volleyball game coming out here when women are being stoned to death in the Middle East and seen as dirt compared to men. Little hypocritical that they care so much about digital stuff, but none to little about real world issues. Outrage culture needs to go away, as well as these professional victims and perpetually offended individuals

...So seeing 'geeks' as callous, bitter neo-con social darwinists is cool but everyone should stop short of criticizing femininity in tech? Geeks are a minority you haven't even defined but are still willing to pigeonhole. Look back for five minutes at what Meg Whitman did to mobile computing. Consider what Carly Fiorina's management did for user rights on mass-market HP systems. Frigid, as an adjective, has many meanings for good reason.

I'm only just barely OK with people saying wizard. No more duplicitous insults. If people want to throw this word around they should have the common decency to say it to our faces. Talking about people behind their backs and expecting work from them is pretty clear & obvious sociopathy.

SJWs are nothing but social climbers and attention whores. Their "outrage" is just to get attention.

Most feminists aren't geeks or into geeks, esspecially when it comes to gaming and Anita Sarkeesians shenanigans on the gaming world, not to mention the many feminists who whine about anime being male centered and chauvanistic? How about quit whining and encourage more women to make anime and games for a change and you wont have anything to whine about? Lets not forget there are chavanistic women as well. Good god I don't care let me go afk and grab a cup of coffee! This is not anti feminist talk this is just common sense! Encourage more women to develop video games and anime to their liking ffs! I mean like make a strong female character in a video game who needs nobody and gets s**t done whos not over sexualized and such this might also apply to anime. If that is all done can ya please stop trying to encrouch in our comfort zone that has nothing to do with politics?
