The air conditioner is an invention by men to oppress women!

It has to be satire cos farts don't make anyone fear for their safety
{or even the implied domination of a loud fart}
And the reason women don't fart as loud is because of what their parents tell them, (or simply not wanting to draw negative attention)
not because a man is doing it loudly

Depending on the farter, it's not the sound that people fear. I've known people to use flatulence as a bullying tool in just that way, and they would gain a certain schadenfreude glee from the discomfort they inflicted.

Flatulence =\= Rape

Violence without the sexual component is not rape, either. If the only definition of rape was "Act of violence against a woman", then an auto accident that injured a woman would be prosecutable as rape.

Note that in the official and legal definition: (1) neither the sex of the attacker, nor of the victim, is defined; and (2) penetration must be made by a sex organ or other body part.

This means that unless farts are both legally and officially defined as body parts or sex organs, the emission of flatulance is not rape in any way, shape, or form.

This also means that if farts were legally and officially defined as body parts, that women would be equally as guilty of "fart rape" as men.

What's next ... "Making eye contact is assault and battery"?

Men usually eat more then women, which is why they tend to produce more gas. And women act more disgusted when a guy farts because of our maternal instincts. Not only do we feel disgust to protect ourselves from getting poisoned physically and emotionally, but to protect our children as well, whether we actually have them or not.

Or that's what I've read/heard anyway. I get grossed out by long, steamy sex scenes on TV but can watch all kinds of gory stuff shown on Untold Stories From The E.R. But I will not watch Sex Sent Me To The E.R. because it's just stupid.

Why not?

They probably think it's funny. I've never heard of anyone using farting as a tool of bullying because when you rip ass, it's YOU who people laugh __at__.

That twitter post is funny as hell!

All it takes is for people to claim that they feel bullied, intimidated, triggered, unsafe, etc. to put people on the defensive and make them all apologetic and what not. There need not be any truth to it to get a reaction from people.
It's akin to people at work that fuss when a someone comes inside from a smoke break they claim the smell of tobacco on their clothes is offensive and a health risk to them.

What it's really about is imposing one's will on others under false pretenses. It's a kool-aid that I don't drink and never will.

I really thought this one was so outlandish that no one would actually try and defend it; I was wrong.

Feminism has been allowed to get ridiculous because the name is close to 'female' and females are highly valued and cared for.

So anything that seems to be associated with women in general will be taken seriously ......for a while.

And THAT's what makes it so f*cking funny.

A stand up comic(vividly remember his dorky face, but cant recall his name from the TV show) told a story about how his wife wasnt afraid to pass gas in public because, as she said, "folks will turn around to look in the direction of the sound and they will see the two of us together, and they will assume that you did it."

He said that he thought to himself "she's probably right. Then I took a look at myself in the mirror, and thought to my self 'I not only do I look someone who would make a fart, I look like a bunch of farts who decided to team up, and put on a man's suit so they could go to town."

He speaks the truth!

So I ask you....

HOW MUCH LONGER ...must men endure the oppression of women who fart in public, but can deflect the blame onto their male campanions, and spouses?????

When will the misery end?

Imagine if someone created a movement called 'childism' which advocated for the rights of children.

At first it would address issues that most people would consider reasonable like child-abuse, but as the movement grows and there is money to be made from childist books and being a chidrens studies professor the more the movement would have to make exaggerated claims to keep the movement going.

The only reason people would suspend their disbelief and put up with the more ridiculous aspect of childism would be because children are valued and cared for.
