I've said this before, but it bears repeating; a good chunk of Trump's appeal is that he makes liberals crazy, so every deranged post about the guy is basically an advertisement for him.

As I've also said before, I don't like the guy, I think he's incompetent and a fraud, but I hate liberals, especially ones who don't even live here but think they know everything about the US, so electing someone who causes them lasting psychic damage is attractive.

This sums up a lot to what’s wrong with the way many people vote.

They get convinced by charlatan politicians to vote for them to piss off other voters instead of voting for someone who will actually represent them properly and do things to make progress for society. Proper education, healthcare etc.. but they’re too wrapped up in trying to piss people off for voting against their own interests that they’ll vote against their own interests and somehow feel like they pwned someone that isn’t themselves.

Stupid.

According to your political leanings, they don't lie in having the basics of modern society that even us lowly Canadians enjoy.. things like reasonable public education, universal healthcare, better employment laws all around (I recently learned that if you make above poverty level wages in the USA you don't get OT pay wtF?), maternity/paternity leave, cheaper pharmaceuticals, lower healthcare costs despite us having 1/10th the population, slowly but surely evolving policies on recreational drug use, personal & medical freedoms of choice, prison labour being illegal so there's no legalised slavery either - nor can we import prison made goods and support your incarceration economy. Etc etc.

Basically all the things that the America slightly left of centre politicians in the Democrat party have been trying to secure for citizens but are opposed by people voting against their own interests just to irritate the other side.

Canada is no utopia. Plenty of things need fixing here. Tons of corruption and scandals and bs going on. International money laundering and all sorts of nonsense that has made living here obscenely expensive -> but that has nothing to do with social programs. It's housing costs that are the lion's share of the cost of living. But overall it's still world's better than the dark place the American right wants to drag the USA backwards to.

Remind me, what are my political leanings?

You really don't know anything about the US, do you? I'm earning OT myself right now, have been all fall since the gun business got out of the summer slowdown, I think I even mentioned it to you in one of these threads or another. Hourly employees all earn OT, it's right there in our L&I laws, laws that would take you seconds to look up if you actually cared about getting things right rather than just making stuff up.

Again, you don't know my interests, you don't even know basic facts about the country I live in, so I'll continue to treat your opinions on them as worthless. Irritating the other side is just a bonus, an amusing side effect of trying to check the worst excesses of the more authoritarian of our two parties.

You can keep it, at least until we run out of wood.

Well, you might as well ask for the lock now, as I don't expect a Trump deranged serial fabulist to suddenly snap out of it.

Oh yes, the accurate historical record about this guy is deranged serial fabulist stuff..

Facts - he's the world's biggest charlatan, always has been in everything he touched - and continued that streak right through his presidency and beyond:

https://fb.watch/osP-Vtl4KU/

That's why his leadership added $7.8 TRILLION to the US national debt, about 30% of all of the US national debt in just 4 years of his s**t show.. and that's just the financial bottom line, never mind all the awful things he did and is.

I'll add my two cents, even though it might lock the thread - - nothing deranged about being critical of that demented, morbidly narcissistic fraud, whose whole life has been dedicated to self aggrandizement at the expense of all others. My response to those who think Trump had been sent by God is: why, He ran out of locusts?

A) you're admitting to being a fool. Not admitting. Boasting. You admitted to liking Trump, but ONLY liking hime for the sole reason that he upsets Liberals, and that you are eager to cut off your nose to spite your face, by voting an incompetent fraud just for that reason.

B) you're contradicting yourself. Above you got angry at someone for "talking constantly about Trump", but in this post you're saying that you are amused by constantly hearing complaints about Trump. So which is it? Are you sick of hearing about Trump? Or do you delight in hearing about him?

C)Your whole argument is based upon an extraordinary claim. Your contention is that there is something remarkable about a citizen of a democracy (like GOPers Mitt Romney and George Will for example)who...worries about...a president who refuses to concede defeat in a fair election, inspired a mob to lynch is own vice president, and is vowing to trash the U.S. Constitution and end democracy and go for "vengence" when relected and implies that he seeks to be el presidente for life.

On behalf of all of us (right, left, and center) who are worried about the POTUS who does all that...I apologize if our normal good citizenship offends you.

But why exactly is that you find our normal rational behavior to be irrational? Or "deranged" as you put it?

Actual conservatives don't take Trump seriously. Trump serves/serves his purpose as white retribution to 8 years of Obama.

Trump is indeed the racist right's "great white hope," and long awaited messiah.

Obama was the one the horseman of the apocalypse for many republicans. The end of times. Merely 40 years before Obamas inauguration in 2008 people who looked like Obama were being strung up on trees for talking to white women. 40 years later they are elected as president.

You must have missed the part where I called him an incompetent fraud. Or one of the many other threads where I've said much worse about him.

Nope, I just believe that Trump is going to be much more dangerous the second time around because nobody is doing enough to stop the guy.

I'm not one of those people hiding my head in the sand about those who are truly deranged about the Orange Antichrist.

And that goes to BOTH sides. I cant stand pathetic pseudo communist Democrats or psychotic pseudo fascist Republicans. They both suck.
