Take my drum to England, hang it by the shore,
Strike it when your powder's running low.
If the Dons sight Devon, I'll quit the port o' Heaven,
An' drum them up the Channel as we drumm'd them long ago.

To all intents and purposes it's run by foreigners, Anubis. For example, the only reason many of us only get our rubbish collected every two weeks, and we now have the bin inspectors (or the "Talibin" as they're affectionately known) who snoop through our garbage, is that a bunch of bloody foreigners have imposed limits on what we can send to landfill. It has little or nothing to do with the interests of the British people, and has been imposed on us from across the channel.

Anubis earlier in this thread wrote:

They ceased to deserve any respect the day they took to taking, and keeping records of, DNA samples from people not even accused of a crime. Yes, that was a government directive, but that doesn't excuse it. They still had a choice; nobody is holding them at gunpoint telling them they have to stay in the force.

Perhaps people should recycle more, and use less wasteful products? It is not just "foreigners" who are imposing such rules. The EU isn't just a "bunch of foreigners trying to dominate us".

Oh, and you do realise that without a police force, there would be chaos? The enforcers are simply doing their jobs. Instead, attack the legislators. Having no police force would be much worse than one which invades privacy slightly. Also, if you've got nothing to hide, you shouldn't have to worry. Crime is constantly evolving, and law enforcement needs to evolve along with it.

Well yes, in theory. But i wonder whether plastic recycling in particular is actually good for the environment. Ive heard extremely worrying reports about what happens to our bags & bottles when they reach China. I am currently hoarding plastics until i know enough to make a descision whether to simply landfill them, to protect the environment.

If, as i suspect (at least where plastic is concerned, possibly electronics) this recycling thing is actually a cynical business that actually harms the environment then its outrageous that it should be sold to us as a good thing & put on a guilt trip for not complying with it, let alone fined. If anything they should be paying us.

"The police becomes necessary in human society, only at that junction in human society Where it is split between those who have and those who aint got"

This split is at the very core of the establishment. Bankruptcy, and thus perpetual social divide & struggle is built into the banking system. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 2583451279 The civil service running the establishment sits astride this system. Your vote IMO achieves little of significance outside a furniture rearrangement within the civil service.

Looked at from another angle, the legislators are just men in suits talking shite. They are not a threat in & of themselves. Because its their minions who actually do things.

Youd be happy with a telescreen in your front room then i take it?
