Because most people can't. If they could, there'd be a market to fill!

That's why I listen to RL, Randi Rhodes, Stephanie Miller, and sometimes even Ed Schultz. It helps me with language problems, because knowing the bias, I can try to understand how they construct an argument.

The sad fact is it's now possible to create an entire media world of people who only agree with what you think. By knowing the 'stations' of the cross (j/k), you can absorb and reinforce your beliefs, while never having them tested or questioned. And, right or left, it's something we should do every now and then.

Yes, and the way that the argument is constructed is thus:

"I am the big fact expert on absolutely everything, and anyone who disagrees with me, however mildly, is a stupid, wacko liberal."

When Clinton was President: "There is too much government spending!"
When Bush was President: "The deficit is a small percentage of the GDP."
Now that Obama will be President: "There is too much government spending!"

Wait, what?

Limbaugh doesn't hold any official position within the Republican party.

Fun fact: I recently had a dream where my father and Limbaugh got married. Both were in bridal attire. I spent most of the rest of the dream trying to get to a computer terminal so I could upload the video to youtube.

Aha! More proof that Mr. Rush is, indeed, gay.

I think that the government simply realized that prosecuting Michael Moore for these "felonies" would only serve to bring more attention to our broken health care system and to our ridiculous laws, and decided that it would be better just to leave him well enough alone. The government probably couldn't even get away with assassinating him without making the government look bad.

Actually the more accurate scenario is Moore has many friends in the Democrat Party and in the Obama White House.

Reason why people listen to Rush is that quite frankly he is more credible than NPR, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, CBS, and the New York Times, combined. Rush is completely honest about where he stands on issues while the aforementioned networks try to paint their opinions as the facts.

Salem Network has a more solid lineup. Talk radio(specifically Salem Radio) got me into politics 4 years ago - they no longer run locally, unfortunately.

Is Michael Moore, or, Rosey Odonnel, the Left-wing equivalent of Rush? I think both are in better standing with Democrats then Rush is with Republicans as his large circle of followers does not constitute anything slightly resembling a majority amongst conservatives.

I have no idea why anyone listens to them.

But then I do not understand why anyone listens to the many other people with loud media enhanced voices.

Rush tends to have a better personality than Keith Olberman. Seriously, what adds to Rush's credibility is how the left goes spastic whenever he opens his mouth.

Remember: you're under court order not to listen to right-wing broadcasters. Start watching PBS kids. It will be much better for you, and not scare you so much.

Sad but true. Observations over time confirm my assessment from my 20s that the majority want either to be told what to think or to find a book that lists what to think, and those willing to tell them or right for them are never lacking.

I never agreed to anything involving your farce of a court, how about you start acting maturely before I put you in a corner for acting like a toddler.

Not until you finish your court-ordered watching of PBS Kids. :shameonyou:

Seriously, they even have some on-line games that you would enjoy.

bolded the part that supports my thesis that the right is the party of bullies and trolls.

Limbaugh I have heard - surfing the dial, land on someone who turned out to be Limbaugh.

Keith Olberman I never even heard the name of - if I ever heard him I am unaware of it.

As I have said elsewhere, personality makes a difference to whether I can listen - nothing to do with can I believe, which depends on what is said - though the style of a Tinker / Thinker can up credibility a notch as with Feynman.

Having heard Limbaugh, I can say I would have difficulty listening unless he was talking about finding an extended Etruscan - Egyptian bilingual.
