Maybe this is a spectrum issue and you don't understand so I will explain, when I made a post about approval ratings the response you made was not well reasoned and was unnecessary and the only point was to try to needle at me. Who do you think you're convincing? I think you're having delusions of grandeur if you think there is this huge audience cheering you on. Now you went back and edited your post to add a little but you have made a deliberate effort to annoy and attempt to be quippy. I don't have any more interest in discussing anything with you.

I will let these assertions stand unchallenged. People can draw their own conclusions if they can even be bothered.

As for a Trump reelection: I wouldn't be surprised if his own party impeached him for incompetence due to his "alternative facts," his war on the media, and his general estrangement from reality.

War crimes and false facts to justify wars didn't stop left and right wing parties getting reelected for 2nd or 3rd terms (Labour in the UK, Republicans in the US) so why would Trump not get reelected for an interpretation of facts you disagree with? Partisanship is truly the cotton wool over the eyes of men.

That is true.

1. Putin was never a KGB agent. He worked for an entirely different agency.

2. The KGB hasn't existed since 1991.

What agency is that? His official bio has him working there.

Putin worked for the foreign intelligence wing, which was a branch of the KGB, as opposed to him being a KGB agent.

Does the KGB still exist?:

Okay, the KGB ceased to exist as such when you say it did, by that definition of existence which has validity.

Whatever.

Actually, during the Cold War, German intelligence had little choice but to enlist former members of the SS and Gestapo, as they were the only ones in that country who had those intelligence skills and necessary associations. It wasn't till the next generation of Germans that their intelligence service was able to find a crop of a better class of people to draw from.
I personally have no doubt that Putin isn't alone in Russian intelligence who harken back to the KGB days.

Yes, and I don't think Jacoby comes anywhere NEAR to having a reading comprehension problem!!

Good to see you again, Cat! I'm not the kind of kitty who invites people to do something and then complains when they do. I think Jacoby does it deliberately. People are saying that the Russian cyberwar playbook for discussion boards has been read by the conservatives here, and I think it deserves investigation.

Edit

I interpret the data differently, but maybe we can agree that America deserves Trump.
About 3/4 of Republicans and over half of Democrats support torture at least in some cases. He is saying what people want him to say and doing what they want him to do.

A possibly right leaning conservative biased poll from what I've been reading. Hopefully these numbers are way off. I've got to quit reading these political threads.

Well this is B.S, I guess science and facts are 'offensive' to the trump administration.

Lol if any of you trump supporters here can convince me this is a good move, then I will compliment your amazing debate skills.... Why shouldn't scientists be able to keep the public aware of environmental issues? Besides since one of Trump and his supporters big things was how he has no filter and challenges political correctness I figured that would tie over to not being a fan of any censorship...well what is this?

hypocrisy?

It was rescinded. According to this article, it doesn't look like it originated from Trump.

Well good it damn well should be rescinded.

And the order must have originated from his administration if not him...so either he needs to get control of his administration and tell them to tone down the police state behavior, if he truly was ignorant of this and didn't mean for it to happen. Or he's just as guilty of approving those actions being put in place.
