The 6th was poorly planned because the rebels believed the police and military would side with them and the movement would take off from there. But insurrection it was.

Technically, he didn't honor Mr Trump's promise in this case either, as that promise was for a full withdrawal by May 1...

Yes, and now British soldiers are planning on staying beyond the deadline, come what may, in order to “attempt” to see to it that more may have a chance at a future.

This promotes a dangerous situation , i think . The USA is a Ally of the British . i think under NATO treaty alliance the USA is required by treaty to support , its Allies . As are other members of NATO.
Am hoping there is,a peaceful resolution in the long run.?

I'm glad the British are doing the "right thing" in this instance.

This is not a case where the US is "obligated" to militarily support the UK.

If the UK was invaded by Russia, say----then the US and other NATO members would be obligated to support them.

The Afghan situation is not even remotely like this.

For the Afghans who are against the Taliban, it's probably a good thing.

I am guessing there will be armageddon, in the form of missiles and other air attacks, if the Taliban or ISIS start killing allied troops.
Only fools would trigger it.

The only thing that would mitigate this is the fear of "collateral damage".

It is more likely to happen by ISIS, who would want to destabilise Afghanistan, than from the Taliban, if I understand the situation correctly. 8)

I had a gut feeling that Biden would fall from grace, but the GQP wants to gaslight the whole country and put a dictator wannabe like Trump back in power. Or replace him with someone younger and more crazy like DeSantis.

Right now, the US could certainly do with a good, strong, leader, that’s for sure.

well they fear the crazies .. it seems world over . If we prop up old images of Ronald Reagan .
And tell them we are raising him from the dead . They would then figure the USA is absolutely batty.
And this by itself would strike fear of theUSA , and so People would not mess with the USA in any political capacity. Or otherwise . athen offer rumours to the internet of cloning and advanced maturation chambers. ........ :D

The consequence of putting a person in the presidency simply because he is not Trump.

The American Political Circus continues.

Absolutely … someone like Thor is woefully needed … especially now!
