unfortunately, I must conclude that if the democratic party knows what is good for it, Hillary cannot run, that will make the GOPTP base go absolutely APE, and you will see a flood of Koch and Scaife money buy toxic propaganda that will flood the airwaves like a stopped toilet floods the lavatory. remember, you can fool ALL of the voters some of the time and you can fool some of the voters ALL of the time, and that in combo with widespread voter disenfranchisement laws and voting machine hanky-panky is sufficient for the GOPTP to win in 2016. I would dearly love to be wrong here.

I had a supervisor many years ago that said probably the best thing that can happen to this country would a foreign power overthrow the US government, install a dictator that controls everything, even what we say and think, and kill deviants and non deviants with inpunity. Maybe then, the US citizenry would wake up and see what we have lost. I almost agree with him. It's going to happen sooner than any of us think. God help us all when it does happen!

I don't see a foreign power overthrowing the US government anytime soon - - but a domestic extremist take over? That's more within the realm of possibility.

I doubt very seriously if that will EVER happen. People need to face reality. You get sick you go to the doctor in this country then someone gets the bill for services rendered. That's the reality. Who is going to pay? Well, most people do not have enough in their savings to cover a huge medical expense so it's either going to be government or private insurance. Which would you rather it be?

People are raising alarm bills about how the Affordable Health Care Act will be a "job killer"no job should exist without insurance offered that is how important it is. This is people's health and no one ignores their health for long when the times come, they just pass the bill along if they don't have the money. Time to end that method of doing things. Make people take responsibility for their own health. This costs people more than cigarettes fcs.

Then maybe Los federales should stop paying subsidies to the tobacco farmers. NIH determined smoking calls cancer, yet Agriculture still gives tobacco farmers subsidies to raise that crop. For that matter, why even subsidize farmers at all?

As for ACA being a job killer: why do you think many foreign companies will not locate plants and offices in the US? Let me give you one example: Toyota. When Toyota wanted to open open a manufacturing plant in North America, they located that plant in Canada. Why? BECAUSE CANADA HAS UNIVERSAL SINGLE-PAYER HEALTH CARE! That is a big incentive for corporations since that is one less expense they have to pay out.

The Republicans engineered the shut down. They even changed the rules in the House to make sure it would happen. Poor strategy or not, they wanted it.
