What we see in this picture is the combined intellect of a house plant. What the left currently considers presidential material. Why not add Pelosi, she would at least be representative of the moderate democrats.

Far as I know Communist countries past and present are/were not saying they want to eliminate borders and citizenship to give a huge lifetime free stuff package to all immigrants.

There are still many Americans who actually believe that the Nazis were communists. Americans are idiots and their education sucks. No wonder the government can easily manipulate them.

I've never encountered anyone who thought that the Nazis were Communists....and I've met some pretty dumb people.

My grandmother thought they were, and she used to be a school teacher.

I used to think they were, until I got edumacated.

Also I believe in the McCarthy era anyone who opposed conservatism in this country was labeled a "communist". That included activists who were fighting for equal rights for all.

Yep....McCarthyism was all about supposed Communist "infiltration" into all facets of everyday life.

Anybody who was of a liberal bent were seen as being Communists by many. This continues to this day. Anybody who is into universal health care is called a "socialist" nowadays. The farthest most of these people go is "Social Democracy of the European type.

Socialism=Communism in the minds of many people.

"Democrats are all Communists because we think Communists are all evil!"

I believe that is McCarthyism at its finest, correct me if I am wrong?

Just like the accusations of MAGAs being Nazis. Although personally I think their toes have stepped pretty close to that line with the internment camps Trump has been sticking Immigrants in.

One thing that should be remembered: in the 1950s, there were conservative Democrats and liberal Republicans. The "Dixiecrats" were certainly not into "PC" sorts of things....

Of course not. That was the age when white men in this country had all the power instead of most of it. They weren't at all interested in being 'PC' by not hurting the feelings of non-whites or women.
