As I keep on saying, 330,000,000 odd (very odd) people and all they can come up with is a Trump and a Biden? EEP! 8O

We never gave the world someone as bad as Caligula or Hitler. And no Trump wouldn't qualify. He isn't in their league.

I'd compare Trump more to someone like Mao Zedong than I would Hitler. A nutjob who brainwashed and killed many of his own people.

In some ways Trump's mishandling of the Covid pandemic reminds me of Mao's cultural revolution but on a much smaller scale. And people believe his lies about the pandemic just like there are people in China who still believe that the cultural revolution was the best thing to ever happen to them.

When will Donald Trump answer some questions about January 6th?

Trump had nothing to do with that.

I beg to differ.
It wasn't a planned insurrection.
It wasn't even an insurrection.
It was a protest gone violent.

Trump simply had a tantrum moment because he seems to genuinely believe he was robbed.
That is my best evaluation for his brain fart on the 6th. 8)

Nah, Trump knew he lost. After all, he suggested in so many words that the leadership in Georgia find (fabricate) new votes for him to win that state. He's just a sore loser.

That' still giving him too much credit, he's really just a conman who ran his campaign and political persona as a WWE pro wrestling heel, which to give him credit was brilliant, as American politics had essentially become a fake sport years ago, but the psychotic dictator label doesn't really fit.

The point of comparing him to Mao is that like Mao he was a populist leader who tried to turn the system in his own country upside down.

Of course Trump has yet to cause the amount of damage or deaths that Mao did, but what he has done is like opening a floodgate. Once you let the water out there's no undoing it.

I also read that Mao basically rose to power and gained a cult following because of the turmoil within China's government itself.

Sounds a lot like Trump.

I think years from now 'Trumpism' will wind up being like America's version of Maoism if we are not able to change things for the better as a country.

Why didn't the DNC cheat that much for Hilary? :D

They didn't for Biden. Only the fanatical and feeble minded think they did.

In the nearly 50 years Biden has been in government, he's responsible for far more damage to our country than Trump who, thankfully, was fairly incompetent.

Just wait until we get a younger and more competent acolyte of Trumpism in the White House after Biden or Harris leaves. Then we shall be really screwed. :?

^Yes, that's a very real possibility. If things keep on the way they're going, we probably won't last more than one or two decades before the system collapses, as Chris Hedges has contended. Sadly, I fear he is correct.
