There is a debate over whether hell is literally this big lake of fire and brimstone, or if it is merely the absence of God. What are your thoughts on this?

The notion of Hell assumes another life after our physical biological life. This is a supposition totally lacking any support from empirical evidence. In short, the question is nonsensical.

An absence of God can take place in the here and now.

That's my hope, anyway.

I have been to Hell. It was an enlightening experience...

It is not all that bad, if you have a strong mind and a will that crushes Satan's. Those who are weak and utterly unredeemable are simply totally and utterly defeated.

It's a great relief that Satan has been crushed. The land is now open for speculation and housing development. As soon as the smoke and lava has been controlled it should prove almost as interesting as Miami.

I really hope with all my being that Hell is a lie. The concept of Hell is wrong and absurd for so many reasons. How can Hell even be allowed to exist when so many people already live in hell within this life? What about those of us who live with autism, mental or emotional trauma, paranoia, depression, angst, mental disorders. Really, if anything, it's the one thing that should not be, or exist. I mean, think about the human condition, fear, human nature, those who never question about let alone discover God, mortal limitations, people who are mentally ret*d, people who die too young to be held accountable for anything. Even worse is the idea that Hell would be the worst misery and suffering AND eternal, forever. What a horrible, cruel, frightening, sick and twisted concept. It would be in the best interest for all human-kind that Hell must not exist.

Hell is actually a restaurant in Rothenburg. I've seen it, but I didn't go in.
Apparently, it's open late.

I agree with what Sand said.

The poll doesn't have enough options.

Ditto the above
