I like the picture of the woman in the bikini with the rifle. That's cool. I fail to see how she is an executioner or at fault for the recent shootings.
I would vote for her over any of those nerdy, sissy Democrats any day.

You sure you want that? Giffords is one of those conservative DLC democrats

few days ago, you guys were targeting her for replacement too

Palin won't win and I'm starting to doubt she'll even run

Sarah Palin didn't have anything to do with the shooting. Jared Loughner had a grudge against Gabrielle Giffords for about 3 years before Palin put the target graphic on her website. I wouldn't worry about the 2012 elections quite yet because this will have time to blow over and a lot of things will change by then.

Oh, and that bikini picture is a fake.

She wont be able to run after this. If she doesnt have anything to hide why has she been deleting all her old tweets forcing liberals to rely on screengrabs to capture her incendiary rhetoric??

I'd run Giffords (american hero) to stop a warmongering global warming denier like Palin tommorow. But as you say we might not need to because she's toast.

The media has turned this in a left vs right hate on Sarah Palin and the Tea Party.

Heck Sarah Palin has a child with Down syndrome. This whole thing has only showen me that we learnd nothing from the Columbine High School massacre. And we those with Autism, Aspergers, ADD, ADHD, and so on are losing the fight here.

We are losing big time and it make me really sad that A) The kid was able to get to the point. B) That people had to die. C) That no one will look at the real issue and problem and that people like Jenny McCarhy are just going to get more power from this and those with mentally health issues will fall even more.

This whole event should open up peoples eyes to the problems That we face ever day but it's not.

I get depressed everytime there's a tragic shooting like this because I know that the majority will just take the situation and turn it into a conflict of petty politics and completely oversight the real problems. "Bowling for Columbine" was a sick approach of this. Heck even the Virginia Tech shootings were more about the politics of Campus Safety instead of the fact that the shooter had been abused by both students and professors. What a clueless nation we live in.

Beat me to it, a former moderator here floated that pic when Palin first showed up on the scene, I believe Snopes debunked it almost immediately. Also, that's a BB gun.

Crazy knows no ideology.

Also, give it up already, exploiting a tragedy for politics is beyond unseemly.

That is unlikely. His anger at Mexicans really didn't sound all that intense in his rantings compared to other mainstream right wing views on illegal immigration and English only. Hus justification for his views was really fuzzy, but his attitude towards Mexicans is very common for someone living fairly close to the border (and other people with his views on Mexicans don't run around shooting people. If he was a white supremacist, he would have likely had much longer tirades about race issues and would have been less concerned about currency. Last of all, if he really was a member of a separatist group, he would hate both democrats and republicans.

Article about the lengths some people are going to trying to link this guy to people they don't like. Also, an example of really sh***y journalism by the NYT.

Mr Browning, now that you brought it to my attention, I can see the picture does look fake. The rifle being a BB gun. I didn't look at the gun too closely, so I didn't pay enough attention. These doctored fake pictures are typical Democrats smears. Ugly Democrats are jealous that Palin looks better than they do. I know young women as young as 22 who hate Palin just because she looks better than they do despite being in her late 40s.
The reason Palin probably won't be elected president is that her style, her humor, and her speeches are very "small town America". Suburban and urban voters will simply assume she is stupid because she is from Small Town America. a man who acts " small town" can be forgiven, but they will never allow a "small town" woman.

^^^^

The reason Palin 'should' not be elected is that she is both ignorant and celebratory of the fact, at the same time. Reminds me of Robert Richie from West Wing. I myself have some reasonably conservative views, but I am scared by the anti-intellectualism at the heart of many Palin supporters.

As Picasso noted, you have to lie to tell the truth.

Palin had nothing to do with the Arizona shooting.

Palin is a rather good looking women. Thanks to her some of the Old White Guys in the Republican Party got the first wood they had in 20 years.

Orwell, if we must observe and believe that the Tea Party is racist, then let us go on.
Woodrow Wilson, Democrat-NJ president 1913-1921. Openly racist against blacks and Asians. Fought against any civil rights for blacks. Supported, lobbied for, and signed Asian Exclusion Acts, which limited Asians immigration, limited their civil rights even when legally in the US, and expelled Asians from the US, even some that were born here. Supported and signed Espionage Act 1917, an early Patriot Act but worse. Limited right of free political association. Wilson set up concentration camps for Germans, even US citizens. FDR set up camps for Japanese, Italans, Germans. Southern Democrats opposed black civil rights. Democrats like "Bull" Conner assaulted black demonstrators.
Why don't we assume all Democrats are racist.

Democrats are racist. Now, maybe Obama isn't racist against blacks, but he must be racist against Asians. Since Wilson hated Asians, then Obama must. Of course, Obama probably isn't racist, but we must observe the rule that all Democrats are racist.

What a load of bull.

Yeah, Wilson was racist. Just about everyone was racist at the time, especially within the Democratic Party. At that point, the Democratic Party was the party of the KKK. That has exactly zero bearing on modern politics. It was nearly a century ago, and there have been massive paradigm shifts in political alignment since then. Pre-FDR, the Republicans were the more liberal/progressive of the two parties. FDR and later Truman moved the Democratic party to the left and changed the tone of the party in regards to race relations (although there were still Dixiecrat holdouts for decades afterwards) and Nixon and subsequent Republican politicians moved that party to the right, and changed its tone in regard to race relations.

That a number of Tea Partiers are racist is a readily observed fact about modern political discourse. I don't have to embark on some pathetic six-degrees series of associations into long-dead politicians to try to make that case.

On a question of fact: when did FDR set up camps for Italians and Germans? He should be justly condemned for Japanese internment, but don't dilute that horror by making up lies. My Italian grandfather served in the Army during the FDR administration. And Germans? In my hometown, the vast majority are of German descent. I would have heard about it if Germans were persecuted in WWII America.
