State Department Spokesman fired for voicing opposition to torture. This tells us all we need to know of the Triangulator in Chief Obama.

As for Manning, he is subject to a form of torture that is designed to create a mental breakdown. I hope you people on the Right aren't claiming that any evidence of said breakdown is a matter of his Personal Responsibility (TM) ... for after all, under their moral code, powerful people and institutions are never responsible for anything, only the weakest and most powerless are.

And his lawyers defense of the comments? Psychological problems.

Source? Because the psychiatrist who examined him said exactly the opposite, and the only person who I've heard attributed claiming that were the prison administrators.

I don't know how you weigh things but I think that Manning is unbalanced.

The psychiatrist disagrees with you. Why do you assume you know more about Manning's mental state than a licensed professional who has actually spoken to him?

If he's not smart, life will be hard in prison for him.

He hasn't been convicted of anything yet. He has been held for an unreasonable period of time without going to trial- and was held for a rather long time before even being charged.

The torture regime under which Manning is presently is designed to drive its victims into insanity. Any insanity is the responsibility therefore of Barak Obama and his depraved administration of torture. Unfortunately, this isn't just about Manning and others put in the War of Terror black hole, this form of torture is commonplace throughout the Union as being a legitimate means of discipline in the LWOPP-riddled prison system.

I instantly have up any hope on Obama when he enter office and shortly after he said something similar to.."We will always support Israel no matter what". The endless U-Turns to his policies and campaign promises is just getting old.

I can look at his behavior.

He assaulted a soldier and was demoted, was evaluated by a psychiatrist who suggested he not be deployed at all, his sgt removed the firing bolt from his weapon, he called his life in the army a disaster, he's currently being medicated for depression, he's currently charged with 22+ crimes and sitting in the marine brig. He balled up his fists and screamed at superior officers. He was not suited for the military and not doing well there. He sounds unbalanced and unhappy to me.

He's also being medicated for depression, like many people in that wing. His hacker friend says he has deteriorated mentally. if he sees it, so must the guards. His father, who visits often, says he seems fine. I don't know which account is more accurate.

Michael Reagan is saying Obama may actually be trying to wreck the country.

As long as we have enough people out there who believe that the rich are hording all the wealth, that money's value is imaginary, and that the poor are being artificially cut off - he'll be quite successful. I just hope we don't fall *too* hard, like being bound and sold to the four corners of the world.

That is a common effect among people who have been subjected to sleep deprivation and isolation.

Are they holding onto enough money over old theories to make the debt owed China look like pocket change or make the oil price/economic freeze scenario an impossibility? If that's the case I can sleep with a much more warm and fuzzy feeling about my country's going concern.

They aren't and even if they were, what xenon13 is advocating is morally wrong and illegal. The entire Fortune's 500 couldn't pay off our national debt.

It would be economic sepuku. We'd be better off floating debt twice this size even than dismantling all industry under government order.

Both Nixon and Obama's economic policies were radically left-wing, though Nixon was far more skilled in diplomacy.
