Well.....at least one conservative admits that. I'm afraid chickenhawks like Rush Limbaugh never will.

I am not a conservative. I detest government. The only thing I detest more is total social chaos.

There are no good governments, there never were any nor will there ever be any. There are bad governments and worse governments, but no good governments.

Actually most religions do not teach Communism. Although an example of Communism is buried in the Christian scriptures nevertheless most religions teach that Capitalism is God's system so the Church uses their teachings to oppress the poor.

The Agape was pure Communism untainted by Marxist Dialectical Materialism.

Christian Communism differed from Marxist Communism in that Christians did not promote armed revolution. Even though the practice of Communism was voluntary nevertheless rich people were required to give away their wealth. Communism was never absolute and ended if people decided not to work.

Probably because Marx's indictment of religion as a tool of oppression used by the economic class system he also indicted doesn't necessitate that the former be a creation of the latter.

Although I'm quite sure that one can be a Marxist Communist and never have heard of that particular quote,
let alone a Socialist- an advocate of that which Marx thought a mere stepping stone between the transition from Capitalism to Communism.

Huh? Most religions teach that capitalism is god's system??? :?

Where.....for example....in the bible.... do you see god stating, or even implying, that capitalism is "his system"???

Now if you meant that most RELIGIOUS LEADERS teach that capitalism is "god's system"....you might be closer to the truth.

What the leaders teach often has little or nothing in common with what the founders, real or mythological, of the world's various religions taught.

Religious leaders are often either plain ignorant or corrupt scumbags with their own agendas.

Yes it is more correct to say that most religious leaders teach that Capitalism is God's system. Karl Marx should have directed his criticism at the religious leaders rather than the religion itself.
