Well its not religion, and certainly isnt science, so it has to be classed as magic.

False dichotomy. Some things are neither. Some things are not even wrong.

You just lost me!

First - its a TRIchotomy, not a dichotomy! Learn to count!
1) religion, (2) science (3) magic. Three pigeonholes, not two.

Second- you're contradicting yourself.
You just said that "astronomy is ignorant superstitiuon".

Are you now defending astrology by saying its "not even wrong".

Make up your mind!

I think the two of you may agree on this one but are separated by Jargon

Meant to say astrology is an ignorant superstition. Some positions are so ridiculous that the normal standards of empirical verification cannot even be applied. Hence: Not even wrong. That is a put down uttered by Wolfgang Pauli against some physical theory he disagreed with. He implied that this theory was beyond the pale of rational estimation and judgement.

Astrology is bupkis. It is not even wrong.

I hear you, but I totally get why his followers are delusional. First and foremost they listen to Aleister Crowley. Second, they listen to Aleister Crowley... etc etc

I know a Crowley follower with kids. He is the most delusional person I know, but mostly harmless. He is bringing up his kids with this stuff. Oh, well it can't be worse than Christianity.

Oh no :( those poor children... My only hope for them (outside you and I mounting a daring rescue on horseback or... some other such dashing bravado) is that their "teenage rebellion" stage will involve them becoming ardent atheists who make a point to trash Crowley at the dinner table on a regular basis (hopefully also blasting Ozzy Osbourne's song Mr Crowley late into the night)
