I am going to repeat this in case some people did not see this. I know it is only a day, but usually the thread gets taken over by the same outspoken people again and again, so it is worth it.
Both sides are resorting to child soldiers, slavery, etc. Why the heck are we taking the side of one group over the other when both sides are equally bad?
In reality most African states have employed or are employing child soldiers. The LRA didn't invent the practice but they have committed mass kidnappings for this end. The LRA is a threat to several different nations in the region. They are a serious problem for local stability. In a choice between two sides that are both somewhat questionable (as is most frequently the case in this region of the world) the better bet is to go with the side that is the lesser evil. In this case, the governments of several countries that are affected by the LRA insurgency. It must be stopped.
I doubt this would even be an issue at all if that idiot Rush Limbaugh had of actually gone out of his way to access the wonderful amounts of free information available concerning the LRA insurgency instead of just crying "OMG OBAMA IS SUPPORTING MUSLIMS AGAINST CHRISTIANS UNITE IN OUTRAGE!! !! !! !! !!"
I'm against us even getting involved in the first place because there is no National Security Issue, neither side has the moral highground, I would rather them fight each other than us getting involved in a mess.
The situation in Syria at least is more clear cut.
No oil involved so why bother?
100 military advisers is not really much of a commitment, this whole event is being blown out of proportion

Study how we got involved in Vietnam sometime, cause that's how our involvement in Vietnam started too.

The US has military advisers all over the world. 100 advisers are selected to go to a region of Africa to provide assistance in stability, the tens of thousands of US troops stationed worldwide (not in Afghanistan or Iraq) are conveniently forgotten. One place they are actually welcomed and it becomes another weak anti-Obama smear campaign. I'm sure if this had occurred during a GOP presidency you would be in support. Probably some Dems and left media would oppose it on principle but it is clear that the LRA is one organization deserving of a mighty smiting

Can you explain to me how the various regional governments of the area are worse than Joseph Kony and the LRA?
