Huh? What credit union are you at? No fee for cutting a cashiers check, making an outgoing wire, stopping payment on a check, overdrafting, or paying a credit card bill late? I'm skeptical that such a place exists. I rarely payed fees at Wells Fargo or Bank of America, because I payed my bills on time and didn't overdraft. I just had to pay for the occasional outgoing wire, as would have been the case at a credit union. I don't see what the big deal is about fees, interest rates are way more important.

I have a checking account so i don't have to cut cashier checks. I don't have a need to wire or cable funds, though I have wired funds and I think my institution allows 2 or 3 per day free of charge. I don't write checks anymore, because their free online bill pay does the job for me. I rarely overdraft, and when I do I eat the fee's but I'm not stupid enough to over draft most of the time. I've gone over credit limit on the house credit card and there's no extra charge. It's a GOOD credit union.

Vystar Credit Union.

My wife and I go through Numerica credit union. They're a pretty decent institution - a damn sight better than Bank Of America.

Well it sounds like you wouldn't pay any fees at Bank of America, either.

Just the same, Bank Of America are a bunch of evil bastards, and all their customers should leave them high and dry.
