I've been told my family's line can be traced back to some member of the House of Stuart. I don't know if they're true, and I'm not really interested in finding out.

I only know a few generations back and one line a few more generations. Of my great grandparents, one was born in Northern Ireland (with British not Irish heritage), one was born in NE England and the others were born in Scotland (one of of whom had Irish parents and two were from the Highlands). The line I know more about is Scottish and NE English and they worked mainly in the coal mining industry and some were part of a wealthy building industry, but I only know as far back as the early 1800s. Further back, there must have been some from the continent. My maiden name has Norman origins and my Mum's maiden name is German. On my Dad's side, there's talk of the family members from the Highlands having connections to Robert the Bruce and the surname suggests this is so, but I can't confirm it.

My fathers family has been living in the same Slovak village since about 1710. The first member of this family to leave the country was my Great-Great Grandfather, who immigrated to the United States with his family in 1911 and became a miner in Pueblo CO (which would ruin his lungs and kill him by 37). My dads mother's side is predominantly Welsh and English.

Both halves of my mothers family are Scottish, and in turn both sides of her fathers family were Scottish (her maternal grandmothers family was German). All two of these three family's, one the maternal and the other paternal, came from Glasgow between 1870 and 1887, with the other paternal family coming from Edinburgh around 1890. Don't know much about the German side.

My family following this included a Lt. Col in the Army Corps of Engineering (who commanded a "colored" battalion at Guadalcanal), and the victims of a statewide-famous shooting in Colorado in the late 50s. That's the only interesting thing that's happened.

My dad's family are Irish catholic through and through, from Donegal & Armagh! my mum's family is a mix of Scottish/Irish/French and Nordic. I strongly identify with my Celtic roots but I appreciate French and Scandinavian culture too.

my maternal grandmother is Jewish he family ultimately from poland
her husband my grandfather is Danish in the sense of being from Denmark.

My paternal grandmother is from Sinaloa, Mexico.
her husband my father's dad has a German surname but is
almost completely English with a mayflower pedigree

Mom is practicing if practicing means pointing out who is Jewish on television
and having Chanukah. When I was younger we lived in Israel but found it lacking Morally and Ascetically.

O'Donovan clan here, plenty of things interesting in my family as far as I'm concerned, lots of notable people and whatnot. Perhaps my ancestors will be amazed when they trace their blood lines back to me? Probably.

Well, I don't know all of my heritage/ancestry, but I do know certain bits and pieces. Mohawk (most Americans do have Indian/Native American ancestry in their background), German, and English/British are the only ones I am 100% sure of. I've also heard that I have Irish as well (which would be funny seeing how the Irish and the English don't seem to like each other much), but I'm not certain.
