Why does religion exist.

Its a man made concept of using fairytales and folklore to explain what could not be explained until science and logic came along.

Well..when you get a little older..maybe don't have kids..maybe your parents have died..and maybe ya don't have any family at all..and say your car breaks down..and ya can't get to the doctor and ya die.. or even rot in your apartment like the old folks are doing in Japan now..with 'clean up' crews coming to clean up the slime..you might understand the real purpose of religions..but will not matter by then cause you'll be dead...

Society is breaking down due to lack of social roles..

It is an illusion than human beings do not need other human beings for interdependence...

So stay isolated and eventually die..

Or find someway of community with other people who might give ya that ride to the hospital..when your car breaks down..before ya die..if you can't afford the cab...

It's all about love..social connections..and yeah science says that successful social connections..in real life..not the internet ones..are the number 1 reason for happiness for any human being...

I went back to church..and It's great..there is no talk about anything but loving each other..that is all..

And yeah..heard the rude comment about catholic priests..do the science..It's the largest Christianreligion in the world..so of course the statistics are going to be that the relatively small percentage of pedophiles in every religion..are going to come up number one in the number one Christian religion world-wide..That's simple math..IS all...

And the other thing is that priests can be tracked throughout a career easily..where preachers come and go...

More simple demographics and statistics there..

Well anyway It's all about love..and some churches and priests..and or preachers teach what the real historical dude called Jesus teaches..and others teach hate...simple as that...

If you want to live a long and happy life..the best thing anyone can do is get involved in something away from work or school..that will last a lifetime in social connections..and nah..the internet will not do it...

So what else is there but church..that can bind people together over a lifetime in real life...not an imaginary one...

Church...that's about it....Bowling leagues have even gone out of style..the second best way to find social connections.. in real life.. that last and bind people together...

And no it's no joke..to be cleaned up by a cleaning crew cause you don't know anyone in real life...

Japan is in an actual loneliness crisis..for more than any reason that the country does not have a good cohesive religion that people attend..and share with each other..to make strong binding lifelong relationships in social connections...

There is simply nothing else that will take the place of organized structures called churches where real flesh and blood human beings congregate to be friends..and love others..and help them when they are really in need of help..when they get older..frail..weak...or whatever IT is that requires the interdependence that humans have always relied on other flesh and blood human beings for...

And nah...don't try to tell me ya got lots of friends in real life to count on..otherwise ya wouldn't be hanging out here so much...which is OK..and better than nothing...but IT will not make that ride to the hospital...if you can't get a cab or an ambulance....

So yeah.. the reason for religion is as core to being human as taking a s**t..everyone needs other people..there is no escaping the birth as a social animal..other than illusory thoughts...

And just to be 'perfectly' clear this comment is not personally directed at anyone in this discussion...

It's just discussed in a 'down home' way so maybe someone will understand it...
