BTW this is a good reason why instead of fighting over labels (which is partly done to show 'your side' as the good side) we ought to be combatting ideas.

Ideas of hatred against ethnic minorities, homosexuals, mentally ill people etc.

Ideas of authoritarianism, anti-democracy, violence.

Combatting ideas is harder than sticking it to your opponent. But it's the right thing to do.

There are no neo-Nazis here. 8)

I'm a die-hard conservative, but in no way am I a neo-Nazi. To even imply that is an insult. Most conservatives I know haven't gone around smashing windows of stores owned by those they disagree with, for one thing. We are a lot more tolerant of liberals than a lot of liberals are of us.

Can I ask you a real question? I don’t know many strong conservatives, or not that I think would want to engage.

Actually, first, are you an American conservative? I don’t recall where Jareth keeps his labyrinth :)

Even the ones who dress up in brown shirts with red arm bands and march around shouting 'Jews will not replace us'? :?

Seriously?
How many would do such a thing in a country of over 330,000,000 people?

Enough to be a viable political bloc, even if not all of them dress like that regularly outside of Unite The Right rallies.

Don't they just balance the whackos on the other side?

No, they're the number one source of domestic terrorism in the USA by a wide margin. If that's a joke it's not a very clever one, if it's not a joke it's just deeply uninformed.

Strange, after today on WP & a topic that someone posted that was recently removed, i think there are some very disturbed, bad and dangerous people that may be lurking around. I wont go into details but anyone who visited this politics part of the forum today will know what i mean.

You could say the same thing for those opinions promoting the far-left or Stalinism. :)

There appear to be very few actual "neo-nazis" as a percentage of the population in general. Really, just a pejorative/umbrella toward anyone that may have even moderate right-wing opinions. The boogeyman that doesn't really exist, at least not in as significant number.

Where are we going if we decide to ban speech on the forum just because it is perceived to be "neo-nazi"?

I know what thread you were referring to. You are allowed to report any thread here you find is disturbing and harmful. It was very disturbing.

Agreed.

There is no suggestion, to me, that there is a huge number of neo-Nazis in America, and especially not, in Australia.
If I am incorrect, please provide stats on this.

Trust me, you missed nothing. It would have deeply upset you and make you want to murder them if you have kids.

Just hot air created by some very slick manipulators, unfortunately many people actually fall for it.
I do see a lot of destruction in major US cities though. Something smells rotten from over there in those places.

It is an absolute disgrace when some on the left calls anyone who isn't of their political persuasion a Nazi/neo-Nazi/alt.right.

Political bullying is unacceptable.

Not just "conservatives", but even anyone to the right of Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama (at least in America) could be a target.

A target for what?
