I do think war with Canada will be a lot more difficult then most Americans believe. Don't be fooled by Canadian niceness.

And pretty much every country on the planet from China to the UK (with the probable exception of Israel) would root for Canada. It could be a short term victory but eventually it will lead to the end of the US as a super power.

When is the last time the USA actually won a war?

The last war the US actually fought was Iraq, which you won quite easily.

If you want to get into military activity below the level of "war", you defeated ISIS, Gadaffi, your allies just defeated Assad - it's actually quite a long time since you lost a war.

At best the US was “winning” in Iraq but did not complete the job. We ended up going back a third time and we did the bombing but the Iraqi army did the dirty work to eliminate ISIS. It is Al Qaeda under another name that overthrew Assad, you know the group we supposedly defeated in the “War on Terror”. Gadaffi that was the Arab Spring not us.

The last time we lost a war was in 2021 to the Taliban. A lot of these other instances including police actions were neither wins nor losses.

I think the very ideas that Trump proposes are ludicrous and that's why I voted no. However, I will note that I have a tiny bit of fear because he is insane and there will be no adults in the room when he takes office. On the off chance he is actually serious and not just running his mouth to intimidate the countries, trouble could brew. Another concern I have is how much his lackeys and proposed admin are going along with it.

Still, it's very, very ludicrous so I doubt anything will happen. We need to be more worried about what's going on in our own country with Project 2025 and other similar schemes. In terms of foreign nations, Palestine and Ukraine should be watched, too.
